# 1 TT/ST/ET scales on crew

After reading the forums, i've heard that the number of crew you have on your ship is pretty much meaningless, because crew only effects passive hull regeneration. But if Tactical Team, Science Team, and Engineering Team scaled with the percentage of your crew you have alive, it would not only make certain consoles useful once again, but add complexity to gameplay.

After all, if your entire crew is dead, you shouldn't have a tactical team to balance shield facings, or a science team to boost shields.

This makes some sense. There should be a minimum effectiveness so Escorts don't get hammered too badly...

I think, it should hit escorts badly. Then most escort players relaize that parking is not the business of Escorts, Escorts would be comparable in DPS when they need to be used as intended. Strike, fly away and turn, strike, fly away then turn ......
A disadvantage to bad ass DPS.
So if they don`t want to respawn every time, they should use consoles to protect the crew.

However they whole crew system need to be checked and a big overhaul.
It makes no sense that a torpedo kills several hundrets crewman on Carriers and only 5 on a escort.
it makes also no sense that 50 crewman can repair a ship with 40k hitpoints in the same time a 2.500 crew needs to repair the same amount of Hitpoints.

logic dictates that, if your entire crew is dead, there wont be much to do anymore, would there?

If these abilities would scale to the crew, then the crew damage system would need a tweak. Currently, ships with larger crews actually worse of because torp shots, etc kill a PERCENTAGE of crew, so a 10% crew death to a Galaxy would mean 100 dead crew, while a Defiant would have 5 dead. The way it should be is that crew deaths are fixed. If galaxy would have 10 dead after a torp shot, then a Defiant should too.
