"Login failed for unknown reason" error
Missing additional character slot for current/ lapsed Gold Members
Slow patching in the launcher
A bug that involved Romulan Liberated Borg captains and their skills once they chose an ally
So I have a L50 Federation character, an Engineering Captain. I've flown Science Wessels from Day 1, though at each Tier I always tried out a Cruiser and an Escort for a few days... always went back to SV's. I just "get" the playstyle of using CC abilities and other tricks to make fights a LOT easier.
But... I've really always wanted to play KDF side. So, I'm looking for a recommendation on a ship type/model for KDF-side that might play similarly to a Fed SV. My Klingon toon is just a couple levels past whereever they start at nowadays; it's been a while since I've logged on that side.
Just take a bird of prey and customize the boff layout for sci abilities. There are no dedicated sci ships this side so that's what you need to do to make that work. Or shell out for the gorn z-store ships.
That said, the most fun I've had in this game was playing with a kdf engineer in battlecruisers. I'm not really sure why, but it was a blast.

Hmm, time to look at the Spidermitch chart then, I guess.
There's 2 of them... the freebie T1 B'rel and then the Z-Store T5 B'rel retrofit. The T5 one has an enhanced battle cloak that lets you fire things like Torps and stay cloaked. You decloak for 3 seconds and then cloak again without having to do anything.
What about one of the Gorn ships? I thought those were more optimized for the Science role?
I know they're not free, though. It would be nice if there were at least one free Gorn ship in the lineup. Ditto for Orion -- though I'm less enthusiastic about some of those ship designs.

So, what are the favored weapons to strap to BOPs? I see a lot of people talking about strictly torpedo ships, but, regardless of effectiveness, that doesn't seem like something I'd enjoy. Klingons ought to have disruptors of some sort AND torpedoes. Just a small "RP thing" I have, I guess.
Most standard bop fits I've seen have had dhc's and turrets, but if you're running a high aux power setting with not a lot devoted to weapons I think you might get more benefit out of torps and just using a couple of dhc's/turrets, maybe coupled with power drain abilities, to drain shields to use the torps to good effect. There's a b'rel retro thread kicking around here somewhere that goes into that if you're interested
