Who the hell put cannons on a cruise????
all cannons gives you the highest possible frontal dps in a cruiser. was tailored for the dread but can be verry effective in the oddy since you can get an almost escort turn rate.

1, why would an Oddy Dread get an enhanced turn rate? The Gal-X handles just the same as the Galaxy.

2, why would an Oddy Dread even exist at all? The Gal-X came into existance as a massive retrofit of the decades-old Galaxy. The supposed Connie Dread was a retrofit to get the most out of old Connies. The Odyssey has been out of stardock for a few months, probably still qualifies as being on its shakedown cruise, and is a long way from getting any refits or retrofits. Maybe in 20 years.

The Galaxy Dreadnought is a uprising amount of fun with an unconventional setup on it.
Run your Boffs for a typical cruiser tank, 4x RCS consoles and dual cannons.
Massive DPS for a cruiser, acceptable turn rate without using Evasive Maneuvers, and always gets a lol from people

As above though, an Odyssey class Dreadnought makes no sense right now.

may seem that way but if played correctly can be devistating.
Here is proof.

If you watch the videos you can see the potential and on an oddy even without the lance you can keep more weapon on targer more often with more tac than a dread. Plus cannons have a higher proc rate.

ok, you won this time, only because you are a tactical officer

but I will continue with my opinion about cannons and cruises
especially if i see a dual heavy

Yes dual cannons on the dread are incrediably difficult to use effectively, on klingon cruisers its much better.
