Now I sure... I will immediately stop building the base... absolutely expensive, no matter what bonus or weapon or ship I can have... I should be part of a big fleet with a lot of active and partecipating players... and I think I should compete to get the possibility to buy the ships for my toons.

Thank you again for your posts. These numbers are in line with my expectations as to growing and maintaining a fleet Starbase.

I think Tier Three will see a reduction of many of the smaller fleets. It's simply not practical for smaller groups to try an build these behemoths on their own. Consolidation will occur as smaller fleets are absorbed into more productive, larger fleets. members with higher rates of contributions will ultimately look for greener pastures.

Our fleet (Mirror Empire) is near to completing level Two, based on the efforts of 30+ members. Our member roster is nearing 375, meaning less than 10% actively contribute. All of our members have access to provisions, and for the moment this policy is sustainable. Internally the leadership is planning contests to encourage members to participate (and donate) more. Ultimately, we want this to remain fun.

Cryptic/PWE takes a huge step tomorrow to making this whole process easier by enabling fleet officers to be used in fleet projects. I've personally burned through 10 million ec in a vain attempt to get the officers we needed. It's no wonder that PWE is now dropping the dilithium rewards associated with duty officer releases. For all intensive purposes this past week was the only time we could convert ec to dilithium via the exchange.

i think it will slow down many fleet. but if anyone want to join our fleet we are still moving forward!
