# 1 A refreshing STO community

I like the players. They are very intelligent, know their way around the game, mostly, and they know a lot about Star Trek.

I could listen to the lot at DS9 making Gorn jokes, or discussing IRL problems, or simple Star Trek trivia. While in Sector Space, chat channels, or social zones, I can read people typing good help or having a Star Trek argument.

Why do you like the STO players?

I've met my fair share of not so nice players but they are mostly pretty good for the reasons you say. if you need help you will 9/10 times actually get help and not a torrent of insults calling you a newb, and many have a good sense of humour.

I definitely agree that STO has more players with a sense of humor that the average gamer. And a lot of players have enthousiasm for Star Trek (and get it). Look at the heated discussions here on Star Trek really gets people fired up.

I always think that if you (really) like Star Stek, there can't be much wrong with you as a person.

I can't think of a better explanation as to why I like the STO Community than what has already been posted.
