hi, is anyone else having problems with launching the game today?
After clicking the launcher, a box pops up "cryptic launcher autoupdate -trying to update the launcher. please be patient. tried connecting 2 times" then a second box pops up "connection problem - unable to establish connection to patch server. please check your internet connection, if problems persist, please contact technical support"
Yep, I did reboot and tried again, and again, and again - no joy.
Obviously my internet and dns are fine, or I would not be typing here - would I?

Have you checked your Firewall? I had the same issue about a month ago after my virus software updated and "adjusted" all my Firewall settings. The Launcher wasn't able to get through my Firewall to operate. I wouldn't have even know it if it wasn't for the fact that I had my virus software set to ask me for permission rather then just blocking unexpected connections. I had to do several different Firewall permissions before it would work again.
