Anyway, this is not about how to get a single-player fleet, but what you can do with it as a solo player, which, I think, is not bad at all.
Yes, you can have a lot of fun with a solo fleet, i certainly do. I don't like raids so I don't participate in STFs and i've never enjoyed PvP so there's not a lot of end game left for a player like me. Building a Star Base and the Foundry are what keep me playing STO and fill my free time. With patience, i'll one day have a full tier 5 starbase, even if it takes years, and you can too.

Enjoy the game, that's why they make them.

I find people's objections to solo fleets ridiculous, the alternative would be a whole bunch of solo players who still wouldn't have anything to do with you or your fleet.

p.s. I agree with other posters, that's its not the best way to obtain a fleet. There are people out there (including me) who would help you start a solo fleet with the intention of leaving it to you afterwards.
Are you schzio? At the begining of the 2nd line you used the term "We" have a T1 base - does that "we" mean you? or do you think your alts are different people/players?

just checking

"solo fleet" doesn't make any sense even linguistically; it's like saying "one ships".

It's a multiplayer game. There are going to be things in it you can't do, or can't do well, without grouping. If you want to only experience the one-player things, that's fine; but don't complain that the MMORPG you're playing has "M"s in the description.

"Solo Fleet" may not appeal to Fleet leaders looking for more "earners", but independant players have been included in Cryptics financial plans. Committed individuals who are willing to push their hobby forward are definitely allowed to add their cash & efforts to the game, recognizing that there is no real fair structure in the Fleet Leadership setup. ( hopefully the "political structure" of Fleets changes in the future to something a little more modern than feudal times. ) . There are obviously ways for a player to have the best of both worlds, if a player wishes.

I have no complaints myself, and frankly the game wouldn't be much fun without the other players around. You guys say some of the funniest things in chat and i'm always happy to answer questions other players ask when I know the answer. Just because I prefer to solo doesn't mean I don't want you guys around, i'm just limiting my involvement with you.

You'll just have to except that there are reasons for doing so.

p.s. alt fleet then if you don't like solo fleet
