Um don't mean to burst your bubble their mate but aren't they naming the ship after,
Quote:
Upon developing dilithium-focused warp drive, Captain Krenn sutai-Rustazh serves as the first Klingon ambassador to the U.F.P. in the 22 years since "first contact." While on Earth, he plays a game of chess with young Spock, age eight.
Captain Krenn sutai-Rustazh is the first Klingon ambassador on Earth. Commanding the IKV "Mirror," an experimental D5 class cruiser testing the experimental dilithium-focused warp drive, he is escorted to a Babel Conference on Earth by the U.S.S. "Savannah-A" commanded by Admiral Douglas Shepherd.
Just because you use his name as your Alias it doesn't mean anything done with that character name mean that they would name a ship after you. Unless of course your talking about a friend in game who has named a ship from your Alias.
Qapla, its a great Alias to choose anyway, Honor to the Empire.
All this is from the book "Final Reflection", by John M. Ford.
A story told from the Klingon perspective, at a time when the Federation was only just beginning, and many worlds were on the fence as to which, The Empire, or the Federation, would make the better ally.
There were those on both sides that believed that a war was necessary.
Ford has written a unique book.
Edit -
* My reference to "all this" refers to the name used "Krenn", as that is the main character in Fords book. It does not refer to the extensive additional work someone has done at the link mentioned above, ( which includes elements of Fords book )
red that book so many times I wore it out, and managed to find a new copy which will never be read, and it's where I got my ingame nic, which I also used in my Klingon Academy days. I suppose you could say I heave tenure on it lol
Ford did a terrific job of filling in a lot of Klingon cultural back story, adding in "day-in-the-life" elements that have never been seen in TV, movie, or other books.
Its an awesome read for Klingon, or any Trek fans.
Naming an in-game ship for the main character states that the book is known of by the Cryptic team, and should lend hope that more ideas from the book can be added to the game.
( With the work Ford put into it, I wonder if he hoped to develop it for a movie )
( With my main character as Fed, all my ships were named " Mirror ", as I leveled up. )

unfortunately, we'll never know as he's no longer among us, and I never heard anything about a possible movie. if there had been a movie, where would be in canon? Enterprise pretty much settled First Contact with the Empire.
