So all MMO models are not switching to a pay-to-win format?
That aside Star Trek fans are known to pay massive amounts - silly amounts of money for anything Trek.
How are you getting that from what I said? lol or are you asking me? because I have no idea.
I just miss the old everquest days of grinding the big eye balls in the elephant graveyard for gear. Always found it fun! And a great social experience, as you had to group with other people to get the gear..and since you had to pay, there were much more serious players.
Not like these STF's, where one move could screw it all up. This was just wonderful hours of grinding away for an epic weapon/robe or whatever.
Now they just want our money. All of it I tell you! All of it! haha
And I agree we do.. I have put way too much moola into this game since I started almost 700 days ago.
Wait, wasn't this about a ship. Where the heck did this topic go lol
The Vesta will:
-be a Sci ship that can use Dual Cannons (3/3 weapons, Sensor Analysis, +0 weapon power)
-giving it a unique niche, so it won't bomb
-will have a very "meh" layout for dps, probably the LRSV's or the DSSV's
-with a gimicky console
-making it not too successful, either
-and will spawn a refit/reskin/re-whatever version half a year later that actually comes with a good layout and console or power bonus
-allowing them to double-dip on the sales
-and to save tons of licensing costs since the refit was made in-house.
That's how you make profit.
You really need to learn the Rules of Aquisition.
i agree this ship needs to be somewhat special if its going into cstore because of the new lock box and lobi temporal ships. if you charge a high price and then it doesn't do anything spectacular ie the regent then its going to be a dud like the regent . armitage was a new version of akira that had torpedo defense console plus it had a hanger and the tankiness of the derverish class escorts all toghter made her a bad ass escort which meant very popular
