Not for nothing, but isn't the entire notion of a "survivability skill having 100% uptime", broken in the first place? I've played quite a few MMOs over the past 10 years, and if there's one thing they all had in common, it's that survivability skills are generally used for short-duration preemptive protection against large amounts of damage. Emphasis on SHORT.

Perhaps a re-balancing of specific Healer skills may be in order, to allow Healer players to actually... HEAL? In the mean time, PVP is broken and will remain broken until the massive "PVP revamp" which is coming... later.

Wow not only do the boff changes piss me off, but the fact that theres no mention of fixing the ship tailor just kicks the irritation up another notch or two. I'm beginning to wonder if anyone has the balls to stand up to whomever it is that keeps making the cruiser screwing decisions and tell them "no". Sure I have not been entirely supportive of you Dev folks, but I can understnad you have a lot on your plate. For that I do owe you an apology; however, my engi's are starting to take an automatic ankle grabbing bent over position every time someone asks "rdy to queue?". Please, it's time to figure out that there's more to this game than escorts. Yes, I use escorts on my tac and sci ships on my sci, escorts on my engi and sci also, but anti-cruiser vibe that many of us are catching is nothing short of sickening.

I guess the PvP team has decided they don't want Engineers in Crusiers to be a valid choice for PvP premade teams.

You might as well add this to the patch notes - "If you don't play a Tac in an Escort, don't bother PvPing."

Also, I bet these changes will go LIVE on Thursday's patch. I have to wonder, what happened to DFStahl's assurances the QA and Testing procedures in STO would be inproved; and more testing wiould be allowed on the Test server? Pushing a patch out 24 hours after it being on Test doesn't appear to me to be any sort of improvement to procedure.

Does this include all those hundreds of exploration maps where boffs and enemies still fall through the terrain and are lost?

* Removed Tachyon Beam and Energy Siphon from shared cooldown formerly shared with Tyken's Rift and Gravity Well.

So I can hit someone with Tyken's and energy siphon at the same time now?

first, how is supplying power to shield systems in any way related to extend shields much less reverse shield polarity?

second, did anyone bother to think of the effect this would have? that leaves healers only 2 options, sci team and a battery. but oh wait, sci team shares a cd with tac team >.<

just seriously...wtf...let me guess...next because it fits into what you've just announced EPS Power Transfer will have a shared cd with shield abilities and nearly every other sub system specific ability?

or do you just have something against shield tanking? and healers...and cruisers...and sci ships?

an example of failure in your test team:

From a PVE point of view:
I just activated emergency power to shields, crap I go a negvah canon rapid firing my ass, crap my shields gone (I dont know how to distribute shields yes im that noob I still use boarding party 3 as main attack) oh wait I know ill use my Reverse Shield Polarity 2....... Crap its on cooldown for 2 mins but I havent used it yet! Wait before the last patch I could save my bacon and live for 30 seconds more!

Good going cryptic i'll wait 6 months for a fix, but for now i'll leave the game and not buy lock box keys until fixed.

From a pvp point of view:

ok one thing you guys are forgetting to mention is if your running your shield power at 75 then buff it with emergency power to shields 2 gives you roughly 115 power

extends 3 runs off your shield power creating higher resistance

so at 115 shield power the extends has say 45 resist bonus to target

where at power level 75 its 35 - this is currently what you get with tribble patch server details.

where does this help healers when under attack?

the new extends doff gives 20% resist against energy atacks while extending which will get nerfed soon.

Cryptic think about what your doing here! your going to make healers become squishy. when they already are squishy from that escourts with 5 tac consoles.

Yesterday my ENG reached VA and I respeced him to intended configuraton: full aux/full time healer. Only to learn day later that I can forget about this and actually playing an engineer at all? Yeah, you just made my day, Cryptic.

I have this game in the dark, smelly place now. Going to spend some $$ on SW:TOR (although I planned to wait for it to go F2P) so that I have something to do now when STO is unplayable for me favourite class.

Any chance for a fix for missing fleet mines and currently all fleet mines are broken. DMG does not work on mines making fleet mines pointless.

Wow, only 19 minutes before the Tribble patch notes were copied to Holodeck patch notes. That's some fast testing
