I ran another a couple hours later without said massive damage spikes but that doesn't negate the fact that it's happening.

And where is the video/log of these massives damage spikes? Yesterday I tanked the gate in ISE in an patrol escort without any problems.

But I really hope that they are upping the damage of the cubes an spheres. Well, not the spike damage but the average damage so that Engie/Cruiser Tank/healers are not total worthless in STF's anymore ;-)

It could have been a lucky one-shot crit.

And the "patch" that you got was probably the prepatch for today's.

I saw no change at all. I even tried to see how much damage a plasma fire could do if you don't clean it up, nothing anyone should worry about, it's roughly what it used to be. So insignificant I can't really give a figure.

It might be a crit damage. Happens but it's awlays been there with the well-known cryptic law: a crit shot = crit DoT (and a crit shot = crit AoE damage too).

earlier tonight i was playing the KSE when i was hit by a cube for well over 99k non crit full facing shields. In fact a lot of STF stuff has been going straight through my shields although the health drops haven't been as bad but i still see the unstoppable chunks falling off. the CSE as well will usually bypass my shields all together but usually only the Negh' var's and the raptors are the only thing one shotting me. Both STO and CO seem to be getting more broken with each patch, and frankly it has me worried.

I noticed a single run last week where Donatra seemed to be constantly one-shotting people, but since then I've had no issues at all, including man-mode-ing ISE/CSE last night without a problem.

Gotta say this:

I started noticing strange things around monday, even thou no code changes went in as far as we know. Most of them exactly what the OP is saying:

Gates somehow magically eat my hull through full shield facing + TT + EPTS + maco mk xii or KHG mk xii shield. I thout they've upgraded the gate's tractor beam to drain hull, but not sure. Or possibly every npc got upgraded with DEM?

Invisible torpedos seems to be back in action too...

I haven't noticed anything unusual in STF's lately, but a fleetmate noticed ridiculously bad plasma fires coming from the Borg in Red Alert Borg encounters. Not sure if it's related, but I figure I'll pass that along.
