I was wondering if there is a limit to the number of bridge officers that appear on your bridge. I ask this as I use the Virtue bridge on my Atrox and only see eight of my ten officers at one time. Yet on my Alliance bridge I can see nine.
I want to know so I don't buy an expanded bridge officer slots, because I would like to see my atrox bridge with several officers working like a real carrier ops room.
Each type of bridge has its own limits on the number of officers displayed. STOWiki has details on the various bridges. (Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have information on the unique bridges of the lockbox ships.)
Each bridge has a set layout of bridge officers, with specific locations for Tactical, Science, and Engineering officers. As far as I know, the game randomly picks from your officers to fill positions by career, and uses generic crew members if you don't have enough of a particular specialty to fill all the "slots".
Yea I just started this game, I went up to next ship, a Cruiser that has a 2nd Eng. seat, I buy a 2nd one, then when i go to put the new one in, it says NO ROOM on Ship, so theres an empty seat and waste of Dialithum
Something strange has happened. The Alliance bridge is supposed to display 12 BOFFs, and it always did so since I had it. But as of lately, only 9 of my BOFFs appear on the bridge, and the remaining 3 posts are staffed by generic redshirts; a set of Bajoran triplets, to be precise.
Anyone else having the same problem?
Yes. The bridge crew "system" (if you want to call it that) isn't working the way it used to anymore.
Most bridges now have the annoying "filler crew" of generic NPCs showing up ... sometimes outnumbering your actual BOffs even if you have more BOffs than there are bridge stations.
I really wish the devs would develop and release and updated control system for bridges where (at the very least) players can select which of their BOffs show up on the bridge and NO "filler crew" shows up as long as you select your BOffs.
