So how much more "meaningful content" do you think the game needs?

I approve of Season 7 and i'll tell you why.

I like a certain degree of challenge in the games I play. When there is no real challenge in the content, as is the problem with STO, one must look elsewhere.
The systematic monetization (is that a word?) of everything in this game gives us a new challenge to rise to. One that even grants a sense of accomplishment, of a fashion. That challenge, ladies and gentlemen, is to continue doing everything we did before and to complete all the new reputation systems / missions / content while NOT SPENDING ANY MONEY!

There it is. The new game experience of STO is a challenge to not spend any money. I look forward to said challenge. I'm sure my bank account does too.

Disclaimer: I am aware that technically you could claim dilithium was real money (beause ?/$ -> Zen -> Dilithium) but as there is no Dilithium -> Zen -> ?/$ (real money) it is not really accurate. You arn't earning real money by grinding Dilithium.

I dislike grinding for Dilithium as it is difficult to earn in large enough amounts for the content I want to play in the time that I have available.

And even more than that, I dislike the idea of buying Zen to convert to Dilithium. I buy Zen to use in the C-Store, period.

And that's all I have to say about that. This game is going to get very old very fast unless they up the ante on how fast casual players like me can earn Dilithium.

Alright! Another casual player.

I also hate hitting that 8K wall when all I'm doing is a bunch of dailies and the doff missions.
If your post is anything like, "I have a sandwich so you can't be starving" it's time to rethink posting.

lol... really... start with joint ground missions that need all 3 specialisms to complete puzzles, give them deeper stories.. oh voiceovers would be nice too... you know some actual Star Trekesque gameplay.

Agreed, this is not a game that fits the standard Korean grindfest attitude, many of us have lives outside the game and need to be able to balance the game with that, I want to be able enjoy the game an complete objectives in it without it seemingly an impossibly long task. That is why I actually found the quick level progression in this game refreshing.

They made several where you get accolades for having all 3 specialties, Some people, such as myself, like them, others.... Nerdrage. As hard as it is to setup those I can't imagine how hard it would be to queue missions where you can't complete the mission at all without all 3.

how much "deeper" do you think they need to be? remember, this is an MMO a large chunk of the player base doesn't actually care about stories.

they are nice, but they cost $$$ And people apparently hated Loriss.

It isn't if you know what you are doing

Although some days I don't bother because of how tedious it is....

The tedium is the problem. I don't play games for tedium, I play for fun and entertainment.

Mindless grinding is not a challenge, it's not an accomplishment, and it's not fun (for me; I don't pretend to speak for others).

Which is why, as opposed to a refinement cap increase, I'd be happier with more options for dilithium... Although if the devs find participation in reputation is low, a nice carrot would be a 1000 dil per day cap increase for maxing a rep.

Although I don't care about cap increases until I have more choices for ways to get 8k.
