I have this ship and the Tactical Setup of the Standard Advanced Escort (4+3) is more powerfull of this ship Tactical Setup(3+2+1) and the 2 pets gived by the separation are only 2 mass of metal with no brain and sense. The Beta Section of the ship have cannons in Alpha and Gamma mode, not used for the stupid A.I. of the pet who flight araund the enemy as a cruiser and not as an escort. Too weak pets,no control of them and no hull regeneration when they take 50 of the crew after separation. You can delete it if you don't want to work on it!!!! This ship have no pvp role because the separation mode is only a disadvantage with the hull reduction and no advantage!!! Power advantage in pvp is nothing with 50 of crew and a small hull...have this ship mean have no advantage on other ships of the game. You need to work on it before you can re-launch it!!!
You need to change the cooldown of the ability too!!! Too much time before a new separation!!! This isn't an Advantage!!!! DAMN!!!

Edit:
What about the graphic bugs??? The cooldown bug??? The A.I. bug and brainless of the other 2 pets??? The wrong equip who don't change type of wepons for take same of your ship wepon???

It is an attempt at marketing, the "promotion" aspect of the "four p's" to be exact.

By actively promoting a product, they aim to increase sales to those who don't have it. Expect to see more promotion of older an currently available ships, especially ones that came out before F2P. There is nothing wrong with what they are doing, actually it may be helpful in generating input from different players on how best to use the ships.

You mean advice like: "unless you like the console for vanity/rp-purposes, instead of spending 2,500 Zen on the MVAE, get your hands on 4 fleet modules and buy one of the three 'classic' Fleet Escorts (Patrol, Tac or Advanced) instead, which will outperfom the former" ?

Seriously. It's strange to advertise an old and somewhat outdated ship without giving a bit of a rebate or further incentive to buy it. Pretty much feels like a car dealer trying to sell a 2008-model car with less options, higher gas milage and worse engine perfomance than the current one for the same price.

If I remember right, you still have to by the MVAM to get the console to make the flet model do the seperation, and you do get a discount on the fleet version if you own the original version.

Also I dont remember what Tier of SB is needed, but what if a person fleet hasn't gone to that level yet? They will still need the original for the console and they can still use it until they get the opportunity to acuire the fleet model.

It's actually not odd at all to advertise the ship, it's still in its "maturity" point of its product-life cycle. As far as your reference, actually, it's more like a car dealer advertising a car that the original model year launch was 2008, still produce new but have changed to a new model yet. It's still a "new" ship the performance and gas mileage is still the same as it ever was. There might be other models that are "newer" in design, not any more new nonetheless.

More like the "end of model year" sales commericals car companies put out in July.

Sort of immersion-breaking, and been that way since the ship's initial release.

I came to post this as well. I made a nice personal looking ship but had to use the default Prom skin because it looked too silly in MVAM. Y'know, the reason why people buy this ship. If if ever does get fixed how about having the separated part of this and all other separating ships having shields that match the main vessel.
