i also do experience those crits from time to time. but mostly i can avoid them when being targeted with bfi (backed upped with two blue/rare bfi doffs) and rsp. indeed donatra or cubes then almost can do whatever they want to, i'm close to immortality for a while . mostly, when i get killed by supercrits, i'm already close to death/on the run.
(works just fine when you're very close to a cube. when they then shoot their plasma-torps, apply the boff-skills and it won't kill you, but will take the whole damage to the cube itself, as long torps get not destroyed by aoe's or shooting ... so: blow em with their own torps).
as for the gates: just stay out a range of 8,5k. then they won't shoot at you at all...

The STFs will be dead I'n 2 or 3 weeks
When season 7 starts so no work at all will
Be done on any of the stfs
Most likely won't even be able to get 5 players
To get a game going when everyone finds out
There isn't any worthwhile reward I'n the
Season 7 STFs
That's what happened to pvp about a month after launch. For about a month queues popped pretty much instantly. There were always loads of kdf queuing as that was the only way to level. Then, after about a month it just died.
Ya, it doesn't matter anymore, STF's are done in a couple weeks. After getting popped twice by BoP's supercrit in ISE last night (yes, Birds of prey with one-shot invisible torpedos doing 30K damage), I remembered to ALWAYS come from behind vs. Borg ships.
Still more BS mega crits. Every STF I've run has multiples of them.
Last night I popped instantly, full hull, full shields, was even running EPTS at the time. I just died with no damage taken. Checked battlelog, and it was a magical 60k crit torpedo, THAT NEVER FIRED AT ME!!!
In another one I had aggro from Donatra for a moment. I hit evasive maneuvers at 5.5k to get out to 10k, but before I could get to even 7K I died. I looked back and saw the torp spread so I hit BFI. I still died instantly. It didn't even damage me, just total death. Then about 20 seconds AFTER I'm dead the actual torpedoes hit me.
It's bullcrap. They're not modelling actual weapons. They're applying BS random damage AND THEN after the fact attempting to render something that hits you.
It never matches up. They need to pull this crap code from the game. If you can't even WAIT to add the impact damage unti AFTER the weapon has fired and hit you, they are totally incompetent.
Donatra seems to have quietly got herself a damage buff since yesterday I think. Did a KASE run and good lord my fleet mates and I were getting hammered left right and centre. Normally she dies so quickly that we don't get smashed up too badly discounting the odd bs uber torp.
Today it was just "Pew" *BOOM 4 dead, 5th almost dead*. No this is not the cone weapon, this is simple photon spreads.
Do you think I care even a little bit what
You think ?
Perhaps you should try a bottle of maturity
Pills and drop the baby bottle
Might help you never know
Oh, you have to love the irony here. All that talk of maturity and this is the post he comes out with? Brilliant
On topic though, I and some fleet mates did a few STFs last night, and I recall a few times when my ship, or others blew up for no reason whatsoever.
One was KASE. Donatra turned to attack a guy flying an escort. He flew between Donatra and my ship (at a distance of around 4.5-5km from either of us), then both of us blew up. He had some slight shield damage from where Donatra had been shooting him, I had 100% hull and 100% shields before the explosion.
Another was ISE. We had everything down apart from the gate. As we were shooting the gate, it targetted me. One second later, before I even had a chance to hit Evasive Maneuvers and get out of there, I had no shields and less than 40% health. The next second I was waiting to respawn.
Against the Tac Cube in that same match, I glanced away from my screen for a brief second, to acknowledge something my GF said to me. When I looked back, 3 people who were previously fine were dead, and me and the other guy left standing were both severely crippled.
Yes, we know they are supposed to be difficult, but really? Apparently one shotting over half of the team? That seems a little excessive to me.
