Definitely - the sub-system targeting and Sensor Analysis work pretty well on the sci-Oddy with a sci-captain, and it's a pretty tanky ship too.
Personal T6 Ship Wishlist:

Nova/Rhode Island class with Hybrid Pilot BOFF seat.

That is all. (guess this wasn't really a 'list' after all!)

I don't mean to sound rude, but it's called the Science Odyssey for a reason bro XD. Add in the sci captain's natural abilities, you have a mean boat there. And you should never die if you do it right.

So yes, enjoy said ship.

A Science Captain in a Science Odyssey (if built properly) is the ultimate tank.

Your one drawback to this awesome ship is that fact that your damage is low unless you can sustain it overtime. A technique that I have used is to go after the big ships and leave the small potatoes to the escorts. Because you CAN out tank a tactical cube in this ship.
