# 1 Attack Pattern changes
11-03-2012, 05:33 AM
Hi all

On holodeck my attack pattern beta iii reduces the damage resistance of my targets by 44.9. I think that is pretty standard.

Does anyone know why on tribble it is only 33? Same character, same build, same everything.

Did i miss the nerf in the patch notes?

So I assume its effecting Fire On My Mark? Is that the tac skill that lowers targets hull resists?

Really annoying change. I'll check AP see if that has decreased too.

And I know im probably really late but when did they half the attack damage bonus for Attack Pattern Omega? Last time I used it rank III gave 50% damage bonus now its only 24%. Though it was a long time ago I last used it. Might have been with the skill revamp.

I don't care it was changed, it kind of needed changed but...

ENOUGH with the stealth changes. It is a big enough pain in the butt trying to figure out some things in this game without changed being hidden from us. Lets see a list of undocumented changes please cryptic.

Its a pretty huge change if you are a tactical captain using AP:B III and disruptor weapons. You are probably going to notice a huge drop in damage output.

Maybe its not a stealth nerf. Maybe they just broke skill-based scaling for these skills.

We can live in hope right?

# 8 Sensor scan nerfed?
11-05-2012, 09:03 AM
I already notice a huge lack of science ships in STO. Mostly because they dont do much damage and some turn really slow. I love science ships because they can make all the difference in a team. But nerfing the already weak ships seems like a very bad idea. Things like sensor scan, sensor anylisis, and photonic fleet make being a science character not just possible but fun.But most people who are science characters, fly cruisers....why you ask? Cause the science ships die and dont do much damage in the process.

Perhaps a way to fix this issue?

Yeah makes the only sci skill that was remotely good even more crappy... I remember the times when I could stack sensor scan, apb, and disruptor debuff for 130%+ dmg resist debuffs.

I checked with the rest of the Systems Team on Friday regarding Sensor Scan, and none of us have modified the magnitude values associated with that ability's debuff. It appears as though other powers were affected, so we'll be spending some time tracking down what code has been altered to produce this effect.

For the time being, I believe it's safe to say that this was not an intended alteration.

Has anyone done thorough testing on the above powers to see if the change may be limited to display figures only, but behavior is unchanged?
