at least this sounds like what I am reading.
Sorry haven't been on tribble to see for myself what it is all about.
Been too busy learning the Foundry.

If indeed what I reading is what I laid out .
I have no problem with this.
No problem whatsoever.

I am probably reading it wrong, or looking at it too simply.
Please help a simple hippie understand why this is bad ?
Visited Tribble tonight, took a look at the new system.

You're not just having to pay out in Dilithium, you're not GAINING any in those STF's either-so you've got GRIND dilithium elsewhere, then GRIND omega marks, then GRIND up Duty Officers ('cause the first two rep. missions also drain those), and spend/buy/grind commodities including Regenerators (those nifty things you want to USE in Elite Ground STFs, so that you're not a cripple by the time you're facing the boss.)

And then, it also drains your "Expertise" pool.

and there's all the EC you're going to burn through-because of **** you must replicate, or buy, from L0 up.

If you thought running a SMALL fleet was bad? it's about to get worse-the escalating quantity of exactly teh SAME commodities that you need for your fleet, is being drained off, with (and I don't hesitate in the slightest to say it) garbage for rewards.

You're going to have to buy DOFF packs, or grind EC for the exchange, over and over and over and over again.

It's a skinner-box/hamster wheel.

as for the bare handfull of new STF's?

it's nice we have a couple of new missions in endgame, but the space one for Omega is pure DPS-based, a group of Escorts can do it, a group with cruisers and escorts MIGHT do it, (3 escorts/2 Bortasque/twinked Negh'vars or Tor'Khats) assuming everyone is a TAC and has a maxed build.

On NORMAL.

IOW they're going to get boring FAST. I was most reminded of ISE, my least-favourite STF-it's "Kill everything and it doesn't matter what else is going on".

I'm a little bit annoyed that this, the first MMO I've played, has gotten to the point where, once S7 starts, I may only pop in once in a while to chat with a few friends, because it will have gotten to the point where not only is there nothing to do, but you get nothing for doing it.

almost everything you've said is right, BUT
stated here: http://sto.perfectworld.com/news/?p=726221

it writes:
Dilithium is still earned via STF mission rewards and Task Force Omega reputation projects

I did the space STF on normal (I fly en Engineer in an Excelsior) with 1 other cruiser, 2 escorts and a sci ship and we sailed through it with absolutely no issues (Except formulating strategies to not get killed in ways the other STFs don't give)

I did the elite version with a similar team composition and lost someone at the first hurdle (That person should go do it on normal first to get a feel for it) but even a four man team composed of 2 cruisers an escort and a sci ship had little difficulty getting through it (ok we failed at the second part because peeps got bored of the probe spam that was holding us back) but it wasn't as impossible as you paint it

Most importantly it's bad business.
Well in all honesty this is jeremy he is arrogant and allways think he is right, and this is not slandering or badmouthing, he has stated this before back when he was doing the podcast, and was very proud of it, and i agree with op i think the podcast jeremy would not had liked what they are doing with several things in season 7, but who realy know he might had fought against it , and cant say anything, you have to remember this is his job, and in most companies they want yes men or your out, so you eather get onboard or you hit the door on your way out ,lol , which is life if you want to keep your job you do what ur told.
