With each doff mission we get exp in a branch such as diplomacy, recruitment, medcine etc. Is there a benefit to leveling these up? After i get 2500/2500 in recruitment will that give me better missions in that area that provide more resources?

some have specific powers associated with them. Diplomacy is coolest as levels in it will give you new transwarp powers.

You also get a choice of Doffs in the form of a reward, the last level the Doff is a Purple - previously blue and green
