1) It should have its own Dev Blog on the front page of this website. Not hide it in the new section and some edited dev blog.

2) They're still defiant about their changes, and unapologetic of how they treated their players.

So no, not happy, still offended, and also a little surprised at how quickly people are to forget how Cryptic treated them, and to praise, laud and thank Cryptic for this reversal.

Probably because people prefer to be happy over angered? The wound's still there, but considering he posted the day after season launch that they'd be reversing it, it's not nearly as bad as if weeks went by before it happened.

And unapologetic? It's a given that 'the customer is always right'... why would they need to apologize when their actions do that for them (generally)? Not exactly a nice sentiment, but it does make a little sense

Though this is probably my relief talking (about players being glad about the reversal), lol.
Was named Trek17, but still an author.

Been playing STO since Open Beta, and have never regarded anything as worse than 'meh'.

Right. I've seen it posted, I just can't be arsed to remember where:

"PWE can send every player a suitcase of money. People will complain about the serial numbers."

Customer service truly is a Kobayashi Maru.

The compromise is what we were expecting, and grumbling about these past few weeks. I wonder if the shock no dilithium day yesterday was just a ploy, and this so-called compromise was the plan all along?

@lew: That's BS and borders on blind yes-man commentary.

THe entire game is a dil sink now. That's the problem. DOFFs costing THOUSANDS of dil per day is the problem.

The result is still a net loss of thousands of dil per day as compared to season6.

**** NO, I'm not happy with thier "compromise" (which can barely even be called that).
I agree with Rodentmaster!

I agree, Cryptic listened and acted very quickly on this. I am personally really pleased with this announcement. I was on the verge of binning STF's altogether.
One day turnaround isn't too shabby to be fair.

A Kobayashi Maru indeed.

LMFAO!! Cryptic doesn't listen. Period. I am convinced they planned this as a "throw them a bone to distract them" move. It was planned ahead of time Even if it hadn't been it's still a massive reduction in the dil you got before, with an exponential increase in all goods/services that require dil (which didn't before). You and your cronies are just part of the problem.

Yep only took them one day to screw most of the game and one day to say they would fix part of it. I'm so HAPPY
