This bloody civil war in the STO forums need to stop. Between the old STDF (Star Trek Day-1 Founders) and those newer PvP successors, we must end these pointless verbal boxing matches. What's there to gain, when we've lost what it was we were fighting for?
A sense of brotherhood?
The thrill of combat?
One's pride?
Those are all but gone in this, STO's inner subforum for PvP. Whatever it was we were fighting for have been soiled, muddied, and forgotten in the chaos of these sucessive wars and bickering.
I hereby propose an idea. That we exile ourselves from these forums for a period of time. Let's embark on an exodus of self-reflection, to again find that spark of desire, as individual as each one of us. Before we reach for that post button, let's never forget that we are brothers forged by a history of warfare. Let us never forget that, although we may belong to different fleets, regiments, and units, we are all part of this clan of brothers.
Your names are not forgotten, your deeds of heroism are not lost to both comrade and foe. Perhaps, when this inner subforum quiets down, we can return and actually find the Content We've Been Looking For These Past Three Years.
"No, there is no real problem with P2W in STO. Obviously, if you fight against someone with an equal level of skill in the game, better equipment will give you an edge. But usually, it is the skill level that determines the outcome, not the P2W." -Logimo
