Well if you have some positive feedback from the zonechat you can share go ahead, me I haven't seen any.

And I am always passionate about my recreational time, it's the most important part of the day.
Work you get paid for taking on stress but relaxing time has be relaxing else you find yourself in trouble real quick.

If you don't take your recreational time seriously you have my sympathy.

if you wanted to earn omega marks and dilithium, you had to play both anyway. now its split so which ever you play you at least get something. grinding fleet actions only might have gotten dull after a while so at least there is a choice.

at tier 5 the marks can be turned into dilithium, the BNP's can be turned into dilithium from tier 0 and you are not relying on random drops.

its it better than before season 7. yes, no, kinda, not really, maybe i dont know. it is what it is.

You know that a large portion of the playerbase is not able to more than that? They even complain that normal missions are too hard!

I like that ESTF now give more dilithium than SB24. Even if I miss the easy dil farming in SB24 xD

anyone know how much was the reduction?

The thing about STF is that Cryptic originally intended for it to give Dilithium, at least that is how it was shown over on Tribble.

Came November 13th, the Dilithium reward did not appear in the STFs, which is regarded as the most played portion of this game. Whether or not it was meant to be removed or was a bug due to S7 initial release is yet to be known.

In regards to Fleet Action, at least it still offers a Dilithium reward to balance things out.

I also think that, since the dilithium is supposed to be a time based currency, it should be awarded by almost all missions. The individual amount could be lower as currently for the top paying missions, but really ubiquitous as everything you do takes time.

Alternately as an improvement to the current situation the amount awarded for completing a fleet action should be at least the same as the current elite STF reward. I don't understand cryptics worries that there might be too much dilithium, as you really can't play both an STF and FA at the same time. So what is the difference if you play 8 ESTFs or 8 FA in a row to reach your daily cap if both take roughly the same time to finish?

Other than that what is the reason to do the system patrol missions, that are not tied to a faction rep mark reward? In terms of character progression those are currently useless for end game players, which is a big shame, because some of them are really fun, they should at least have a daily for some kind of useful reward.

It isn't suprising that the dil amount was reduced on fleet action, let's be honest about it 1440 dil + 2 purple mk XI for first place with a 30 min cooldown was easymode farming paradise.

It was quite clear that cryptic wanted to reduce the farming potential of STF's, so giving easier content higher rewards was obvious to me that it would be adjusted as soon as they realised how easy it was to simply rotate characters to avoid the cooldown while spamming the quickest FA.

For those people who are saying that those upset about dilithium changes are merely whiners and want everything easy, I have to wonder how many of them have been earning 8000 dilithium per day across multiple characters. Because if you haven't been doing that, then you simply aren't in a position to have a valid opinion about the difficulty or tedium factor of it. Players who only do 1 or 2 missions for dil each day are in a whole other world compared to players who spent hours (and now must spend many more hours) earning dil. They think we're complaining about the char on our hot dog, but we're really complaining about the fact that our house just burned down. There is a massive difference of perspective between casual players and hardcore dil grinders.

Thank you for proving my point. I take my recreation seriously, just not to the point it's not recreation anymore.

Is what you really wanted was 1440 dil FAs to replace STFs with a maximum possibility of dropping upwards of 8k dil in a single match? We now have to spend five times longer farming dilithium. Is this what you really wanted for season 7?

Seriously. Why the hell do STFers get the blame for the devs ****ty decisions is beyond me. STF dil rewards have been nerfed by up to 800% in really lucky cases. We're so very sorry that Cryptic chose to punish you by taking away your new found dilithium tree called fleet actions and 1440 every 30 minutes but you point the finger at them, not us.

Yes it is very much known that they intended to do it. They released their justification blog for it and told us to our face that it was intended, and that it was better for everyone because our dilithium earnings would somehow rise higher without any STF dilithium. They then quickly reconsidered their decision after about 12 hours post s7 release and updated that justification blog to an 'Oh **** The Players have Spoken and We're Keeping Our Word Instead' blog because no one was buying their bull**** reasoning. As a result they instead decided to claim their desires for people to refine more dilithium was happening in a big way in just 12 hours of monitoring the situation via fleet actions, so, seeing what they wanted to see happen and it all being a big success, they do the next logical course of action: They nerf fleet actions down to 480 and under.

WHAT

And STFers get the blame and they're happy, because they just got away with taking away STF dilithium on a grand scale and nobody realizes it except a handful of us here, apparently, and also a mere few of us here seem to understand enough to point out that there's no reason fleet actions and STFs both can't award more dilithium, rather than continuously whine to each other about how they're somehow the reason for nerfs instead of the people who actually implemented the nerfs.

And as far as s7 goes and any praise it gets for the cash grab rep system, need I remind everyone that if Cryptic really cared about improving your experience they woulda just threw XII gear up on the borg store for a ****hundred EDC to guarantee you your drops rather than making you grind this rep thing for months only to eventually require dilithium to buy anything from the store which essentially dooms any projects that require dilithium because anyone who is playing totally for free are very unlikely to dump their dil into a starbase project now because they're saving it for rep and maybe even fleet store.

Seriously people, we need to do better than fighting amongst ourselves by forgetting the only reason in existence of why season 7 happened. At the very damn least new romulus is shaping up to be a worthy edition to STO. There's THAT, I guess. It's something more than yet more cstore items an lockboxes month in and out.
