The key to a good grind is a desire to reach the end goal and maintaining that desire.

When I already have grinded enough to finish off the entire omega rep on several toons once my 'ransom' box is unlocked but I still have to wait months my desire begins to wane.

And yes, it is a reason to log on each day. Guess what I have been doing that anyway. Gimmie a carrot to log in don't threaten to beat me with the wait maor stick.

You can alway grind out dilithium and energy credits.

If its that big of an issue, then offset your Romulan and Omega projects to finish on different days. That way you have something to work towards every day. Personally I think there is plenty to do unless your playing 6-8 hours a day.

I understand the timers and their importance, but what I don't understand is why they're so long. For what you get, these gates are insanely lengthy. I put my vote in with those advocating for the timers, but just shorter.
