I hope so it would be nice on some of the ship types that you can't really stretch out like you can the fed side for obvious reasons make a vesta like ship pack for em and then would be golden for awhile.

The big thing with KDF is that a lot of these ships the KDF races have they were mostly spoken of so it would give the artists a lot of room to do what they want with them without being confined where as they are when making strictly canon ships.

Another thing is maybe instead of a discount offer the KDf something different like 2 Fleet Modules and like maybe 100k fleet credits for fleet ship or maybe 400k-600k fleet credits for a fleet ship to balance out that issue of no discount and shortage of ships on KDF side.

All are conjectures, however we do know the Constitution refit was extremely problematic and the Exeter being refitted would simply amount to being another ship that would serve for some more years (like the Enterprise) until it was going to the scrapyard.

Also TMP is certainly NOT T5, even the Miranda that was a newer ship does not have a T5 variant and never will, also using the excuse that "well its new so it can perform to T5" is the same as saying any Coast Guard ship that is recently can perform as well as a Nimitz Class carrier since its "newer", the fact the Exeter can use the Constitution Refit as a costume makes sure that ship will never be a T5 ship in the game.


The bug and fleet defiant pack the most powerful weapons in the game and they are barely bigger than the Connie saucer. It would be easy for STO engineers to put tier 5 tech in the ship.
The Somraw, K'tinga, D'Kyr, D7, Kumari, Xindi carrier, Xindi escort, and the T'Varo are all older than the Constitution Refit and yet they are tier 5. The rule needs to change.

Considering the Fleet Heavy Cruiser already HAS the standard Assault Cruiser BO setup, I found it toally pointless and redundant to use the term Fleet Assault Cruiser Refit.

DS said months ago they were discussing alternate pricing strategies to address the 'KDF problem', but no mention since I asked the question 3 months ago. IF there were any KDF ships that qualify for the discount I'd have bought it and a fleet upgrade on top of it, but there isn't one so I'm hoarding my currency and making do with the 'freebie' ships.

They don't want OUR money- the KDF faction isn't populated enough to rate any effort from the devs unless it's accompanied by a quadrupled value gift to the fed playing customers.
We'll get a new fleet ship alright, but the cost will be every unique console we have left.

Refit has LT. Com Tactical not LT. Tactical.

So I want to make sure they provide the right ship, its one of the differences between the regent and the sovereign is Lt. Com not LT. Tac, which is quite a big difference in how it plays in game.

Wasn't hair splitting for the sake of it but because there is a difference and right now I wouldn't trust the Devs to screw that one up.

My vote: Fleet K'Tanco Retrofit. There's no cruiser in the Tier III Klingon shipyard, an oversight I'd like to see addressed. I see the LTC K'Tanco in the non-fleet shipyard, and I like its design.

Some theoretical specs:

Fleet K'Tanco Battlecruiser Retrofit
Hull: 34,000
Shield mod: 1.0
Turn rate: 13
Weapons: 4 fore, 4 aft
+10 to weapons and engines
Dual Cannons
Standard Cloak

Commander Engineer, Lt. Commander Tactical, Lt. Engineer, Lt. Tactical, Ensign Science.
Five Engineering consoles, four Tactical consoles, one Science console.
