i agree the last thing we need is more content to snore through the greater the challenge the greater the golory.

the only thing in the trek universe more difficult than the borg is Q less face it he would snap his fingers and the entire race never existed

Too early to tell if it really needs a nerf as players will need time for tactics and to find the blind spots on the diamond or what is good vs it etc.

A good team as long as u have good control of the players can manage it at a reasonable time.

Plus its nice to have a mission where its real borg not nerfed borg imo. Beats it being easy like cure elite etc.

My first elite run was a PUG and we got the 1st and 3rd optional. We struggled through the 2nd part, but I think that's because the other 4 guys didn't seem to understand you where suppose to stay near the Queen to avoid getting murdered.

Once I figured out what not do due on the actual Queen fight, she was pretty manageable. Granted, I'm not a big fan of another boss where escorts are penalized by having to stay at a certain range, but it's not that big of a deal.

Agree, Since S7 Stf's have been buffed to hell and take all day to finish. Also this ne system of reputation crap is yet more curancy in gam that 8 now. And It will take even longer to get the MK12 Gear then it did before. At least you had the option to do stf's and have a chance to get the drops but now you have to work all the way to tier 5 100.000 points. with 1 day 15 hours an 59 minute cool downs on all projects. with 1000 points being offered for the compleation. That would take longer than just a random drop. Well done Perfect world you ****ed up again.

Ive did this one in elite yesterday with some other good players i only died 1 time because of a insta torp shot right through my shields but other then that we finished it with the optional with ease.

Perhaps you guys need to think about improving, its no longer raping NPC's like usual you guys need to change builds and get better. Thats also why 99.9% of this game isnt pvping its just too hard for them to get proper builds going,.

SInce the tibble nerf to the queen, hive space elite is good the way it is. you can get optionals without a proper team (all three classes) so there is really nothing to hard about it. Please do not nerf it.

Normally I'd agree that a fight at the Unimatrix should be tough. But even the Spheres are now throwing out 30k to 40k Invisitorps too. That somehow they get half their damage thru my shields too. Its not a matter of difficulty, its now a matter of getting lucky and/or zerging. I hear at later stages certain debuff and CC removal abilities are a must? Kinda limits it puggability. Encounters with positioning and timing are more pug friendly while still allowing all types of builds to work and best of all, they don't rely on big hits of doom to elevate "difficulty". I realize if it was a premade of competent players it'd be much easier to do, but pugs should be able to do it as well.

I think this encounter could've been an interesting positioning, timing, and cooperation challenge. Instead they called it in by simply ramping up the damage, the Invisitorps, the Huge Hits of Doom, and putting it all in one small area. Seriously, they have a huge map with genuine and credible space terrain so people can maneuver around and it all happens in one small area??

I like the idea of a real strategic challenge that requires some thinking and cooperation. Invisi torps do not fit the bill though. They are just plain annoying. On criticals, their damage seems to scale to your resistances/defense in order to insta-kill you. There is some suspicion that this critical vs defense/resistance scaling is a mechanic that is triggered by stacking resistances/defense to ridiculous levels for balance. It has been observed in PvP.

Also, the tactic of sticking to the borg queen when engaging the unimatrixes seems to not be doing anything. It said to do so to avoid cutting beams, which didn't seem to be visible anywhere, but the invisi torpedoes were definitely more prominent there (probably from both unimatrices and the queen).

I absolutely agree she needs a nerf even in the normal difficulty, there is no way that this mission is capable of being completed in 25min.

I would like to make reference and modify a quote from Monty Python. "Nerf the witch!"
Well I have yet to finish HS on Elite with all the optionals but it does seem possible in a proper team.

However, normal hive space is amazingly easy, it is the easiest STF in the game on normal. I was on a Reddit Alert team yesterday and we finished it in record time with all the optionals. Anyone that is calling a nerf to Normal Hive Space isn't playing the game right.

Edit: Anyone that dies more than twice on a Normal Space STF isn't playing the game right. Or is new. Or both (most likely culprit here).
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once.
