The season has been renamed the "Oh sh*t season 7" by me and my friends cause every time we find something we go "Oh Sh*t".

On a serious note certain things with in OHS7 are actually quit good other things well im sure they have been debated to death and i agree with some not with others.

Regarding the rep system i think waiting 1 day 15 hours just to get a
Mk X item is well a bit much, personally 24 hours i could live with or 16 or even staggering it as you go up the tiers ie 16 hours for x, 24 for XI, 32 for XII.

The whole of Season Seven wasn't a complete failure. Certain new STF and missions included were fun. The only problem I had was the reputation thing. That I really think its crap, seeing how before Season 7, it was so easy to get, but on Season 7 itself, it requires thousands of dilithium which personally wasn't worth it AT ALL. Moreover, I'm having loads of difficulties with the "Can't get map name" here, "You'll be removed from the map in 10 seconds" there.

Nonetheless, it is not our decision to make Season 7 revert.

Personally, I think it should NOT revert, but yet at the same time it should improve.

I just wish Borg items were not bounded, or that the timer cooldowns for each project is shortened to 1 hour or so because a day is just really saddening and too long.

If the poll was "To revert the STF methodology of purchasing Borg equipments", I might say yes, however I believe those who already reached Tier 5 in that reputation system will feel unfair as well.

My opinion :3

I would enthusiastically vote yes to the question. Not an entire foll back, just roll back the STFs to the season 6 system and the same with the DOFF system. I absolutely detest the mini-personal-starbase-time-gate-permission-to-buy-grind-system and only when that is gone from the game will I reinstall it and play it.

Its getting a bit tiring listening to different sides having a go at each other. On one hand it seems to be people who mainly build fleets and play new missions who mainly do not do stf or upgrade their doffs in the grinder. On the other hand there are those who do stf and upgrade their doffs in the grinder but are not so interested in fleets and new missions.

It is quite clear that, in S7, the latter group have been nerfed and the former given some good breaks. Most of the people who read these posts are well informed about the workings of the game, so how about we stop putting each other down for the different things we each want to get out of the game. It is, only a game, games are meant for fun, and each persons fun is their own, often different from others.

If S7 has given you some good breaks and new and interesting things to do, then I am very happy for you, pleases have the wisdom, or at least courtesy, to allow me to lament the loss of interest, achievement and fun that S7 has brought to my choice of game play.
"He tasks me. He tasks me, and I shall have him. For every doff box bought, I'll chase him round the Moons of Nibia and round the Antares Maelstrom and round Perdition's flames. For every single doff box opened, I stab at thee from hell's heart. For every single doff contributed, I spit my last breath at thee..." Khan Playing STO

No, no, you missed the point, I was saying all of you combined continue to make thread after thread about dilithium this and reputation that and s7 sux. I was trying to compare it to my insane wife who whines about everything, that's all. It was a generalization of the community of players who are making Anti-Season 7 posts and wasn't directly directly at you. Also, there was no rage on my part as i was giggling like a school girl about writing a flamming post to my fleet mates while in queue for KASE as I wrote it. So to explain in long format:

You all are really all the minority here except for initial shock of all DL being gone from STFs which I too supported the outcry to have fixed. Now that the DL is back, albeit and slightly lower levels, y'all really don't have much else to stand on and should just pipe down or leave.

I am really not sure what you guys are doing as I make more dilithium per day than I ever have while playing a wider variety of content throughout the game (<= that is better if you didn't figure that out). The dilithium exchange changing the way it has in recent days reinforces that. Fleet actions are now useful and fun... and yes I admit that I did the one click foundry missions, but that is gamming the system and those crying about it should just quit it, it's gaming the system and you can't cry when you get shut down.

The reputation system might suck in the short term for those of you who had no idea it was coming while it has been consistently alluded to for almost a year by various dev posts and web blogs and podcasts... yes the early tiers offer nothing of value for those who have been playing for a while except for the passives, but eh. All of you sound like babies or my insane wife, crying "I want it all now... waaaaaa......" As I had said... it will sustain the game as new players have a steady approach to get end game gear. You can either follow that approach with them or leave... and I am sure if everyone who is continually making anti-season seven threads (at this point) leaves.... it wont hurt that much as this game will survive it.

Of course the initial issue (DL for STFs) has been resolved and is not a primary motivator of anyone quitting anymore. I am also pretty sure that the devs could care less about what was said in the forums and probably looked at the data. They probably saw 5 times as many Fleet Actions running as STFs, because no one cared about them anymore since all you needed was the small amount of marks for you bi-daily projects. That's why they took some DL from the fleet actions and added DL to SFTs... Not because of anything anyone said in the forums, numbers speak louder than nerd rage. Notice they use the terms signal to noise ratio? That's right you all are noise... and I am saying I am tired of hearing the noise in the room....

Hmmm ~not sure if serious or knows English? ~

I never said I was quitting... this game is in no danger of shutting down or dying.
Let's see...

The new content is three raids and four dungeons plus an adventure zone, all of which are geared for grind, and nothing BUT grind.

It's aobut on the level of a quarterly Patch for the top MMO's in the industry.

One faction got two new ships-but they're Payships, and one of those is tied to players joining Steam...a promotional item with a limited lifespan.

In exchange for which, you get a "Reputation" system that drew fire from those of us who bothered to test it on Tribble for the incredibly short time this material was ON tribble, plus the return of OLD bugs, and the introduction of new ones.

Now to the quality of the content we DID recieve...

New Romulus: This is a typical asian-game grind zone, complete with incompetent peasants, cute animals, and pointless quests to accumulate stuff. We get a pocket-size version of poke'mon/Monster Rancher, focused on cute little doggy-things with antennae, a chance to wander around picking up rocks...and a short "find the bugspray" quest.

The artwork is straight out of a cheap chinese MMO-beautifully done, and buggy as hell.

This looks ripped and reskinned from some other PWE project-maybe something they abandoned, or needed testing on, it's also gated for Level 50, but presents zero challenge for a Level 50 character, and would probably bore the **** out of a L21 new-build Klingon.

Rep system: another tack-on that relied heavily on stripping players of existing loot/items to make it even VIABLE. Again it's gated for L50's, when the structure, and the time it takes, really indicate more viability with a lower starting level-which would also encourage people already in the game to generate new Alts, and make New Players working up through it feel more powerful and effective in the presence of experienced hands with 'legacy' ships and abilities who did NOT bother investing vast amounts of time, dilithium, EC, useful things like Regenerators, etc. to buy into it.

MOST of the hard critiques of the Rep system were already being brought out in the forums BEFORE LAUNCH, and I know at least "I" sent in my reports...not that anyone read them, as seen in how every problem reported prior to launch, remained in-place.

Good parts: there are some, We finally got an STF that you can't run roughshod with five tacs in escorts in the Hive Onslaught mission. Notably, the other space mission-the one with Tholians in it, did not and does not display the same quality of workmanship, and the new Vault mission is another time-gated DPS fest, albeit it's nice to have Obisek's political ranting going on-best voice actor they've got, whoever's doing him, actually sounds and is scripted like a credible leader of a populist/revolutionary front.

Now, to the comparison of what was claimed in the blog, and what we actually GOT...

1. MECHANICALLY, what Stahl announced is true. BAsically your STF loot that you did not cash in before the end of S6 was taken away from you, put into a "lockbox" that you can not open until you've invested the time, resources, etc. in the Rep system to buy what was taken from you back.

In addition, Dilithium incomes have been cut, and Dilithium costs increased...significantly.

As for his stated intent of making advanced gear more 'accessable'...

If you play for eight hours a day, and don't mind waiting several weeks to several months, yes, you can eventually buy your way to MkXII STF quality a pricing that exceeds the Fleetmark Store at your starbase by a significant factor-and that gear was pretty rare prior to S7 because most people could get equivalent or better from STF drops, and WERE GETTING EQUIVALENT OR BETTER ON A REGULAR BASIS.

2. Stated intent; this is a net failure. Casual players (like me) who have real jobs in the real world and don't have eight hours or more per day on-line to waste grinding...are pretty much shut out.

Note that the people who spend money, generally have money to spend. Taht means us working folks, who have real life jobs, bills, and real-life stress...which grinding does NOT help.

further, if we wanted to play Poke'farm, we'd be bloody PLAYING Poke'farm...

ditto if we wanted to play "Helpless peasant needs you to move these rocks"-there are hundereds of on-for-a-while-and-gone cute animal/helpless peasant MMO's out there which are short lived...for A REASON.

Whatever the intent was, whether stated or not, what we GOT is not "Season quality", it's more "Patch/module quality"-some of it is good (Hive Onslaught), some is, frankly, NOT good (New Romulus), and all of it lacks that most essential ingredient of STAR TREK...

And yet, Tau Dewa dailies don't actually amount to more than a low payout bunch of extended nagus dailies.

I was so bored doing this for the first time that I knew halfway through there would be no way I would ever do this again, much less on a daily basis.

A lot of what is wrong with S7 can be displayed in a snapshot of Tau Dewa patrols:
Shooting what amounts to 25 waves of pathetic enemies solo, or talking to a bunch of NPCs for 60 romulan marks.
