I am starting to get a feel for the rep grind. For my captains, gear is not so much of a goal, but the improvements that we can choose at each tier provide some goal posts, and impetus for advancing.

Despite the lesser dilithium (As opposed to it's absence the day of Season 7 launch!), I don't find it being too much of a hurdle, but due to the lack of regular decent gear drops in STFs, EC is the bigger problem, since that is the larger sink in both the fleet and rep system.

Changes are coming to put the drops back in + slight dilithium improvements plus project timers are getting times reduced in rep systems.

The tier 3 shipyard is up and running. Thala got the Fleet Corsair, and like a true sycophant, I sorta named it after you. Well.... sorta.

I thought about getting the T3 BoP but the hull is paper thin.

Is it really paper thin?

I found that other ships that looked bad in print were actually considerably better... such as the Federation Fleet Escort Retrofit.

Another player I know posted yesterday to me on Skype that it actually is not a bad ship and he finds it works well and is quite fun.

Still not sure I personally would spend 4 fleet modules for it before hearing from about two or three others yet .. (for variety of builds, etc.)

I am glad to report that the new Fleet Varanus is a worthy ship, and the Fleet Corsair is just flat out epic.

The Fleet Corsair is extremely durable, maneuvers satisfactorily, has great science power capability, and launches the best fighters in the STO universe.
