THIS!

This would be a fantastic replacement for the current ambiguous wording.

I always found this one funny, especially since by the time of season four of TNG, Picard had incurred nine official violations of the Prime Directive since he took command of the Enterprise.

That's a very...american point of view.... Non-interference does not entail any responsibility. Acting as a "parent" for other species is a serious violation, unless you're asked to. Unless requested by representatives for the planet/species. Representatives who speak for the whole/majority population.

Totally agree. I wanted some kind of explanation for going to war with the leftover Romulans, but this just saddened me ...

Cultures, not species. The people on New Romulus have created their own culture separate from the militant Romulans, and they have asked for assistance.

Anyways.... I still think the Federation needs to invoke General Order 24 more often. Heheh....

The reasons for using it so rarely are.... understandable. But... how often has it applied?

Anyways.... the Romulans on Mol'Rihan have requested Federation aid. Obviously they're a spacefaring civilization with technology approximately equal to that of the Federation. The Prime Directive has 2 main applications the first is when dealing with less advanced cultures(which the Romulans aren't). The second is when dealing with cultures that want to avoid contact with the Federation(which the inhabitants of Mol'Rihan don't).

MMOs aren't charities. Corporations are supposed to make a profit. It's what they do.

...hence why many of my ships carry British names. Wish we'd be able to get the HMS-prefix. Heck, even their security forces are redcoats.
Hey!

British villains, that's stereotypical and racist

Also seems to be true.
