Missing additional character slot for current/ lapsed Gold Members
some possible fix for steam users : force verified the game catch files using steam.
it will find that some files are missing and will re-download them (3-4 gig download, relaxes it downloads nothing new, just rewriting the corrupted files).
after it will finish you MIGHT mange to lunch the game (worked for me, but i haven't tried moving my ship or entering any STF and fleet actions so maybe it wont work).
after you log out, chances are that you will get the error again, if so, repeat.
how to do it? / TLDR
right click on STO in your steam library -> "view downloadable contact" -> "local files" tab -> "verify integrity of game catch..."
Tried this and still no good. Keep getting disconnected after about 10 seconds - 2 minutes of game play. Only success I've had is bouncing between the proxy servers. EU got me 5 minutes with no trouble until it started DCing me.

this could fix the launcher it self not working
not the DC sadly
I logged in yesterday to do the Tour event ~13 hours ago but it was solid lag ingame so I gave up. Trying to log on now for 15 minutes and not even getting to the character screen.
...and it finally works after disabling the proxy I enabled yesterday to try play the game then.

Hello.I have the following problem http://store.picbg.net/thumb/6E/39/8e1d46fbbd916e39.jpg
Also sometimes it says no internet connection.
Otherwise, I have internet connection.Other online games have an internet connection.
Just not Star Trek. And as a fan of Star Trek this makes me sick. Please help
Hopefully this week we'll get some sort of fix for this. Its gone past a mild annoyance to moderate aggravation. As I stated in a previous post, I'm having the same problem as others, with it trying to connect to the patch server, then shooting itself in the foot on the second attempt.

It has been a few days now of really unstable connections. Any shot of us getting an update on the situation?
Highlighted hop there in red has had some problems of late. From the relay name there I'd surmise that hop is in the Boston area. Might still be part of the mess Sandy left. Would be useful if PWE can get Cogentco to reroute around that hop until that's straightened out....
Would also strongly recommend zeroing out your IP address in your nettest, for obvious reasons.
For those that say "but that was weeks ago!!!" keep in mind that internet infrastructure is on the low end of the priority scale when it comes to disaster cleanup.
