This is nice so romulan weapon are actually plasma disruptor hybrid, really nice

But what color are they? the ugly green from normal disruptor or the pretty whiteish green from standard plasma weapon?

Yes but it still inflicts a power drain, on my cruisers i'm allready at my limit there, on my escorts i've got cannon abilities that make a turret supiriour, and on my Sci's it's inferiour to another torp. I can't really see what this does that's relevant tbh.

Eh, find a way to get any direct, offensive use of it at all, and you can justify running it mainly for the 2-set bonus.

I tossed the KCB and the torp into my aft slots. I fly around while shooting borg, so there would be times I have my back facing them. That's when I would unload the torp completely with a HY.

So I get the whole set bonus. The damage resistance is useful for an escort like the Steamrunner.

So, from reading this thread, am I to assume that loading a borg drone up in your torpedo launcher would be more useful?

When I think of a Cutting Beam I think of a beam that does (almost) nothing to shields but does lots of damage directly to the hull, more than a normal beam array but less than a torpedo.

The current Cutting Beam does neither. It does the same base damage as any standard mk 12 beam array, only this gets slightly lowered thanks to its 360' targetic arc.

So yes, loading a borg drone up in your torpedo launchers would be more useful.

Can someone explain to me what the Omega Weapon Amplifier enhancement is for/what does it do? The info reads:

Set 2: Omega Weapon Amplifier
Enhancement
2.5% chance: to self: Applies Omega Weapon Amplifier
+10 Current Weapon Power
+500 Current Weapon Power Resistance Rating for 3sec
+500 Maximum Weapon Power Resistance Rating for 3sec

What does that mean?

The weapon power boost is self explanatory. I think the next two items (resistance) means your are effectively immune to any power drains that would affect weapon power levels for the 3 second period. I'm guessing on this but it's the only thing I can come up with.

I think how Omega Weapon Amplifier works is that for 3 seconds, your weapon power doesn't drop no matter how many weapons are being used at once. So essentially, it is a random Nadion Inversion with an increase to weapon power.
