Seriously, this is crazy now with this new ability they have to get you even if you are directly below or above cubes, before this update we escort captains had the ability to play it smart and stay out of the torp firing arc which made these invisible one hit kill nuke torpedo's that are immune even to scatter volleys somewhat tolerable. No more is this the case and you are condemned to respawn hell if you are the one that has the highest DPS and get the aggro all the time!
The recent Borg changes are insane.
Makes getting the Mk XII gear for STF missions useless.
If things are reverted back to pre-Season 7 changes then it will make the Reputation system unlocks relevant again.
If I wanted a "challenge", I would use a Tier 3 free ship.
lol as a recent experience of mine in my Regent class with 50k hull 10k shields and 45% damage reduction on all types, I got oneshotted by a Borg tac cube for 980,000 crit torpedo damage. that was no way survivable. My entire roster of ships would not have been able to survive that hit even if we combined thier hull and shields to a single vessel.
Still I am very glad for thier increased lethality. No longer will I have to just sit there and swap volleys until the borg is dead. I now have to maneuver and time my skills while keeping an eye out for the rest of the borg ships so I don't get tag teamed. Very satisfying.
very rarely do i get one shoted but it does happen if i'm unlucky to have some heals cooling down. my main complaint about the borg is the damn plasma burn that my hazard emitters can't keep up with. lol my vesta with 19k shields and if my crew drops to 50% or lower my hull drops very fast.
I have sometimes been hit by an attack that i never saw hit my ship, idk has anyone else notice the one shot kill happens when you don't even see your ship get hit? maybe lag has some play in this?
