They must be in an open bridge slot to get the benefit of the efficiency trait.

I know, Saurians and Letheans are ugly. But you will have to look at them if you want the bonus.

You can always toss them in EV suits. Uncommon suits from Nukara are dirt cheap.

I can't guarantee that it still works, but a retail box copy of the game from Amazon should give you an account-wide, reclaimable Borg boff.

I have all efficient boffs and they add maybe 4 or 5 energy in total to whatever subsystems my lowest energy levels are set at. Decent, but not stupidly overpowered.

4 or 5? I hardly think so.

My power levels at va with standard skills (no bonus)
100
50
25
25
With a +15 ship to weapons and just the boffs
125
75
54
53
Add in borg set and such
125
77+ depending on what is used
59
59+ depending on what is spected
so IMO Boffs make a HELL of a difference

I did notice in balanced mode you get a LOT less bonus

These Boffs are the most looked over officers you could ever have. I buy them cheap when I can to store for later toons. They ROCK!

edited to add:
Don't forget YES they stack!

Those are impossible numbers unless you have absolutely no "performance" or "efficiency" skills whatsoever~

Those look more reasonable but what you should do is equip all efficient boffs, write the numbers down, and then remove them all (and wait for a little while, it takes like ~30s to update or so) and then write the changed numbers down.

Mine went from 125/72/50/42 to 125/73/51/43 with a single efficient boff, which is close to the theoretical numbers I made. That's basically +0/+1/+1/+1 for 1 boff. I don't see how they could be giving more than like ~1.99 energy each. Probably moar like 0.5-0.7~

(that kerri has between 6 and 9 in the various 'performance' and 'efficiency' skills)
