So are you using TCD+DPB right off the ledge or are you going to cheese the cheeseer. Lol also I have to disagree with your sci quote I've been sci sci as a main from closed beta and while its been hard I find it still to be the best.
You hear this kind of thing a lot but I honestly don't see any of the supposed Sci weaknesses at all, at least as far as captains go... snoozers have kind of been outclassed hard by carriers and semi-Sci ships like the Recluse, too...
If someone asked me for my real talk opinion, I'd say that SNB is still the single most powerful ability in game, that Sci has the best all-around repertoire of BOff powers (VM, SS and t-beams for offense; ST, HE and TSS for healing). I've never really had a game where I've felt, "Man, we just have too many Scis here", and pretty much every time I've felt serious heat it's because a Sci has my ass in his targets.
I only tric in PvE but I'm partial to DPA2. DPB3 is often just plain overkill and although DPA2 is one less mine it lets you make a much larger area off limits. Happy tric'ing!
Where does TSI stand on SNB doffs?
_______________ 4/4 Z-Store KDF Specific Bugs fixed! Thank you from the bottom of my wallet! I'm going to go buy some Zen points for a rainy day. Here's another batch about visuals.

i have to agree, nothing kills my ass beter then then a VM+scan+nuk wile an escort happens to be shooting me. and this is even with 2 AtB undoing the ability cooldown damage significantly. full escort dps is fairly easy to weather, and then completely undo able with RSP and a few hull heals, but its doff buffed VM, and those 2 sci captain debuffs that get me killed the most by far. even more then instances were im ganged up on and receive no team support. doffs fixed sci abilities, i bet even a shield drain build would work now.
dont go down the tric mine path. no one respects tric miners, and if you become like them we wont still respect you just became your trying to be ironic. they arent even that effective, they can only kill the oblivious or unlucky.
Season 7 has provided lots of challenges and tribbleations, and TSI has been discussing among themselves far and wide. Season 7 has introduced new passives, a reputation grind, and a belief that escort online is somewhat still the motto of the game. So we would like to announce some new playstyle changes in our fleet to the community, and what we intend to do in hope of some favourable changes:
1. Tricobalt mines. We are sick and tired of being the victim of this, so we will now return the favour tenfold. Tricobalt mines with dispersal patterns will now be used more liberally.
2. Science ships. We have deemed after some disusscion that science ships and its science abilties is mostly redundant, easy to counter, easy to resist and the fact key science abilites can be used on other ships, that we will (mostly) not be using them any longer until Cryptic does some significant changes to science skills and its resistance. The Vesta was a welcome change, but most of us know its really an escort in science disguise, but a far weaker version.
3. Cruiser + Escorts = True love. Yes, tank and spank is the new deal. Stronger hull, can carry all the nessecary skills to survive, lots of dps, and not as paper thin and gimmicky as a science ship. But you say that science has the best shields. Yes shields are nice, but shields are easy to strip away by sheer dps alone, or even disables. Besides, a premade team knows that all what is needed is just to keep shields up and running that shield ammount really doesnt matter.
4. No, we will not use cheesy skills like AMS and that sorts. We are still above that and if we do use it, its likely a single "cheap" console, and not a whole loadout like many others use.
With this announcement we want to state an example to the developers on what and how we feel and think the game is going wrong and going good. Cya in space!
You guys chose to be bad guys? Horizon isn't going to like this. And you know what his motto is...
Anyway, go tric some pugs now. See how much people will look up to you guys after this.
You guys never let me down. After that long debate you and I had about tsi's use of cheesy OP game mechanics not working as originally intended, you guys are going to pick up the tric/DPB banner and run proudly with it, huh? THIS is exactly what I was talking about with you guys using cheesy ass FAW teams back in the day. Good to see things over there haven't changed much
Love the "we won't use cheesy skills like AMS, we're above that" line, but in the very next line you say you may use it. Sounds like something cryptic would say.
Sure glad they fixed voldemort before you guys decided to make your stand. There were a lot of people using it too. I guess that too would have forced you to all exploit that as well.
GG guys

1. Not sure if has to do w/time of day I play, the fact I boycotted PvP until Voldy was fixed, or I play KDF and Fed FvK PuGs generally are bad, but I haven't had an issue w/tric mines.
2. Feds have no business complaining about Sci ship options. As others have stated VM w/doffs, SS, Tykens w/doffs, TBs, PSW interrupt are all viable. Even GW w/doffs can be an AoE cloak debuff if nothing else. Depending on the build the gain from Energy Siphon can be useful on its own and coupled w/Tykens is nasty. Not to mention the resist/repair/debuff counter abilities PH, HE, ST, TSS.
3. Sounds like you want to roll KDF side. But, keep in mind as alluded to particularly for DPS oriented Aux2Batt cruisers, high end Sci Boffs and Captain abilities are hard counters.
4. Too much p2w @ this point to go after only consoles considering the lotto/fleet/z-store ship options. I don't see the power creep getting anymore balanced or better.
Tbh, SNB doffs are the main balance issue I have at this point. They're only really useful for PvP and they grant the most powerful debuff in the game. They should only strip 1 random ability and or have a much longer immunity after being triggered.
