I haven't played CoH regularly in about a year, but I was pretty disappointed in the shutdown.

I had hit a pretty severe burn out wall and always thought I could go back at some point.

Anyway, goodbye CoH/CoV. You'll be missed.

And so will my 10 L50 Brutes.

And my 6 L50 Corrs.

And my small handful of VEATs, Scrappers and Doms.

Old school pylon tests, and soloing the ITF.

Now if could just convince Captain Gecko to implement a fury bar for some kind of Cruiser/Escort DPS hybrid that tanks and holds aggro...

I've found the original article about Blade and Soul, the replacement game. PM me if you want the links, as the images on the article are kinda NSFW.

I was playing CoH from launch. My first toon "Rose Star" (later the name was used for a planned NPC, the devs were nice enough to let me keep using the name) blasted everything within range. Gonna miss City of Heroes.

Saw "Blade and Soul" and thought; What the Effing God!?! It looks like they took one of those Japanese dating sim games and gave it a bigger budget.

Sick to crap with all these fantasy themed MMOs. Gonna stick with Star Trek and Star Wars.

Well thats shocking news to me.I hadn't recieved any sort of e-mail at all from ncsoft about this.I wasn't activly playing but me and my family usally went back to the game a couple of months each year.

If I had known I would have logged in and taken some good screenshots and video of all my toons and superbase.

I will miss it a great deal I had 10 level 50 toons and my wife and kids had quite a few as well.

The saddest thing is our 13 year old had just played with us for the first time this year and gotten her first level 50.I thought at the time we would all be playing again.

I will really miss how with the mentoring system you could group with anyone no matter their level and still progress.
