You know, there is a grey area between truth and lies It's not just one or the other, or in other words, not just black and white (plus you know full well things get pushed back, and that Cryptic consistently overpromises things)
And 'much better' plot is entirely subjective too XD
I could say I'll pay you tomorrow, but then oh no I got no money to pay you, Ill pay you the next day, then the next, then the next for the next three months or more. Does that mean I am inbetween the grey area of the truth, or just a liar and a thief?
Subjective? If by subjective you mean... most players consider the STO plot horrid... then yeah, it is subjective.
Not going to lie, I'm a little disappointed with the layout of the ship. We haven't had any good Science cruisers in quite awhile and this seemed like a good chance to put one in. The design doesn't quite make sense to me either, it's an escort with 8 weapons and science bias. It outguns even the best klingon battlecruiser with it's commander tac slot... I just have no idea what it's supposed to be balanced against.
Honestly, I would have preferred:
Consoles: Eng 4, Tac3, Sci3
Eng Com, Sci LtCom, Tac Lt, Sci LT, Uni Ens
Cruiser level stats
Tactically stronger then the average science cruiser, but still capable in combat. This is just broken.

I said there was a grey area; not that the grey area was clearly defined. By what I've seen of your posts, you consider there to be no grey area, while the rest of us have varying boundaries of it.
Most people would consider your example to be the latter; a liar and a thief. I wouldn't mind, personally, and just get my money another way
Plus, you can't claim that most players think it's horrid without actually getting to know each person's opinion For example, I like the plot, nothing more and nothing less.

So the CNN procedure continues? No one is a liar, it is all opinions? The facts are just a side dish to the grey area of not wanting to make people uncomfortable with the actual truth?

Facts are diluated by opinions and views anyway; there never usually is one central opinion, except in generalization
At least, for me it seems that way. And I'm okay with that
