,Hello everyone, I'm going to buy myself two character slots for Christmas. I also want to buy the Joined Trill option. At first I was thinking Trill for engi, and maybe Andorian for tac. But then I noticed the Trill would be unlocked for BOTH character slots. Now I'm thinking Trill for tac too, to make my 600 Zen go farther. In theory, it sounds good: hyper metabolism for extra health regeneration could be great for an aggro pulling tac, and joined symbiote for extra space hull repair and such could be great for a squishy escort. As the other two traits I was thinking elusive and maybe peak health or techie, to further help with the squishy escort. What do you guys think?

If your aim is to maximize your space abilities you get the most from elusive and accurate. I'd do my absolute best to ensure my tac officer had those two skills.

At a minimum take elusive if at all possible. 10% bonus defense is much more valuable than the bonus to hull repair.

If you're just looking to have fun the it doesn't really matter too much. But just know that you may want elusive and accurate at end game and there is no retrain option.

One thing to note about the Joined Symbiote is that the boosts are most noteworthy for science characters. You may want to keep this in mind in terms of just how much of a gain you get from a Joined Trill. I went through the same decision-making process not too long ago myself, and decided to go for a fairly generic, but robust, Alien Trait build.

i think accurate (acc and crit chance), elusive (defense) or warp theorist (power levels and EPS) could fit well with the joined symbiont on space, and soldier (dmg and crit severity), lucky (crit chance), peak health (hp and sone non-resists), resilient (energy resists) or creative (increased dmg with kit powers) is good addition to the metabolism on ground.

I have a Joined Trill as a Tac for my Federation and she worked out just as well as my Alien KDF character. I do agree with Opc001, elusive and accurate would be the best options for your tactical.

Joined Trill are best for Sci and Eng based on the skill increases.

I found Tac works great with Klingons, Bajorans, and Betazoids.

No, it's true. Betazoids.

Tac Joined trill is especially good if you happen to like science ships with tac captain. Something I will change when the re-race token is finally available.

A tac joint trill has its advantages on the ground. Mine has 3 ground traits that made him resistant to the undine and very very hard to knock down.
