Personally, I find that the Jupiter trousers work perfectly.
On KDF side, you are absolutely correct. All the trousers are skin tight, which just looks horrid to begin with. Something similar to the look of Jupiter trousers is definitely needed. Even without wearing the coats, it is still needed. But the bulk of the coat just makes them look even worse than they did to begin with.
