Agreed. I don't see why any cruiser cap' (especially an engie') could complain about batteries. I was out with my fleet two days ago in the Hive Space mission, holding agro and one of my fleet-mates started laughing aloud about how I suddenly had so many buffs on my Excel'. I pretty much hit every button the ship had and Borg shots might have well had been bouncing off of me. The whole time shooting one of my two CRF's and my BFAW. It was awesome.
The good batteries are not common and you have to work hard to get them. Deuterium you have to complete a daily mission to get 4. Red Matter Capacitor, I got for buy my game with a certain package from a store. The Prototype Jovanite Hardpoints, I imagine comes from a rare duty officer mission. I only see those being sold at the Exchange.

I thought Batts gave a base +75 to power levels.
I have no points in batteries and Im fairly certain the equipment info says that.
Dueterium is awesome for speed.
I do agree that the turrets pack no punch though for being disposable items.
The turrets are annoying - I do throw them out occasionally, but they don't even provide a reasonable distraction and the enemy only have to look at them to make them explode.
Laughable really - deployed the 'heavy antiproton' variant against the Borg in both ISE and HSE and the Borg thought it so insignificant that they didn't even take the time/energy to blow it up.

+75 batteries are nothing to laugh at. I pretty much have the standard size shield batteries as a staple and it works for me just fine. The Deut' tanks are an easy mission to finish, I have about 50 tanks in reserve on every toon. Sub space modulator is in "Skirimish" and is an easy mission to finish and it works great in conjunction with shield batteries.

Its one weapon per turret, if you have a bunch of ships with 6-8 weapons on them, of course its going to be ignored. Its designed to augment your dps in a fixed area.
