Yes u says that the biggest ship ever made by federation oddessey class and they are can't use dual heavy weapons.Ok I understand u r made for game balacel logical but u have to let them equip beam banks at the aft.Because its getting really boring on PvP all times they r behind u firing on heavy dual cannons with their shuttle sized ships...U r not alllow to biggest ship to equip cannons its ok but let to equip beam banks to aft for balance.Also its really ridiculous Oddessey class ships has no any hangar.They r not carrier I know but they r not a less then carrier too.How could be 2500 crew ship has no any hangar this is ridiculous too...
I'm just going to tell you right now, you aren't going to get what you want, and you are probably about to be subject to a ton of laughing. Soooo good luck with your valiant quest for it shall pan out to nothing.
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once.
As for the hanger issue, I have started to say that in-game carriers or hybrid carriers have what are known as "combat hanger bays" As opposed to the standard hanger bays that all Starships have.
It is one thing to launch a shuttle. It is another thing to launch a fighter craft in an active battle. So a carrier will have a hanger bay that has a Fast launch system, Shielding and screening to protect the fighters as they engage, And some sort of quick retrieval system in order to retreat quickly if needed.
The Odyssey class is an exploration and flagship mostly. So it has not been designed to have a combat hanger.

How's that. A single torpedo launch every minute, that's going to do completely negligible damage because the tailgating tacscort is going to be chaining Tac Team to shrug whatever beam arrays or turrets you have in the back, so your torpedo hits shields...
No, the real solution to tailgaters is that escorts should get a massive defense and damage resist debuff if they aren't moving quickly. How often did you see the Defiant just park next to the target and unload? Escort captains should be forced to embrace Move Or Die, and promptly explode if they try to park next to a target in their optimal firing position.

The Defiant was also capable of going to full impulse while at red alert and had weapons range longer than 10km.
