*The Dreadnought drops out of warp and leaves the civilians some distance away from the battle. The warp core cannot maintain drag mode any longer*

Voporak: Get us to that cube. Charge the antiproton lance with all weapon power.

*The Dreadnought turns around and goes back to warp again*

Hampton pulls himself back up off the floor as sparks are flying all around he lifts debris off a crew member

Hampton: Reyes beam the crew over to your ship. I'm going head on high the Borg. Get your jump engines back quick. Ill overpower every engine on this ship and make my own super nova.

Voporak: Something to brighten up my day, eh? Well, never let it be said I don't get desperate.

*Auxiliary batteries seperate from the main power of the Dreadnought come online and forcibly eject the warp core and tractor beams lock the core into place. The aux battieres power the impulse engines and the Dreadnought is moving again*

Voporak (surprised that controls are back with the ejection of the core): Let's see how you like eating antimatter. If this works.

*The tractor beams fire one pulse and send the core flying at high speed to the cube*

*Voporak looks at the lightless lights*

Voporak: Now what.

*The lights come back on*

Voporak: Better. Omet'etan, what is the status of the core?

Omet'etan: It is still on course sir. And closing with the cube.

Hampton alone on the bridge brings down his fist on the control in rage literally destroying the console

Hampton well looks like there is only one option left.

He walks to the armory where he forces the door open. He grabs a compact machine gun a shotgun and a anti matter charge.

Hampton: this plan also raises my survival rate. I I can make it to the cube of course is the problem.

OOC: Apparently you didn't get the memo. The problem is in the computer, not the Warp Core. And to clear the problem, you have to deactivate the computer which will result in the virus shutting everything down so you can't reactivate ANYTHING, including life support. Why do you think Sam didn't try anything like this?

Also, your ship is about 100 years older, so it should be MORE susceptible to the control virus than the modern ships. You may want to talk to Hampton or the Republic about getting your ship upgraded.

*The Dreadnought sits, lifeless again*

Voporak: NOW what?

*He notices the core, breaking up, is opening a temporal rift with the node being torn apart. Voporak nods to Omet'etan and they break their way into the Jeffries tubes. The two rush down to the secondary hull*
