Got another question, and I couldn't find a tutorial on this in Starbase UGC. I have a friendly NPC whom I want to follow the player around on a map. Is this doable? Thanks!
I do this extensively in my mission "Avenging Resolution." My solution is to just have the "companion" characters talk in the dialogues where approprate and when a battle situation occures I spawn them in as a friendly mob out of camera range from the trigger location and generally just behind where the player will be when hitting the reach marker for the trigger.
With a little experimentation and practice it becomes very effective and virtually un-noticable by the player.
