Please don't?... Or atleast give us a refund to change our minds since the description of the power says nothing about a 12 second placate immunity, which totally changes that power to make it nearly worthless.

Seriously 2 second placate and then 12 seconds of immunity how is that suposed to be any good? I can't even think of a way to put that to any good use.

I hate the wording on that patch note too. "properly"? How so?? Was it always your intention to have a 12 second immunity? Well.. Why didn't the power description say anything about a 12 second immunity? You would think after grinding 60 thousand reputation that the game would be a bit more specific about second-to-final tier (THAT CANT BE CHANGED BY ANY MEANS) rewards.

And at the very least if the nerf sticks fine, but I and probably others are going to want a way out of a nerf'd power, You can't expect us to be passive when we have grinded 60k rep for this power and then after receiveing it a few of the development staff decide it is too good so they want to take it down a peg or two.

Check out my previous posts, you will notice I am very fair towards Cryptic's policies I don't complain idley, when something like this is going to be messed up though, something need to be said.

And the more I have thought about it maybe a PvP nerf would be okay, still irritating but alright. And maybe it could be modified so it would even be a little more powerful then it is in PvE situations on ships that have light hull.

I have used it in Elite Space Task Force Missions, Borg can still 1 shot kill the player, don't worry about that, your one shot borg abilities still work fantasticly, Sensor targeting assault won't protect you from any of those. So I really don't understand where your perspective is on how this power is broken or overly powerful..

This just means you will have 12 seconds between blinding your target. I don't see the problem since the chance of blinding the target is already low enough that it will probably be 12 seconds or more between when you are blinding them anyway.

If I were you I would be complaining more about the unnecessary nerf on the superior shield regen.
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once.
Tired of Wasting EC and Time trying to get Superior Romulan Operative BOffs? Here's a cheap and easy way to get them, with an almost 100% chance of success.

Yes, if it sticks that leads us to the usual "this is broken because Escorts are broken" that had a high chance of doing so because they can use DHCs.

T4 was "eeek" choice since "chance to" equals to "Escorts will do this, everyone else might" that changes little as escorts will, everyone else might ... except it sucks now.

A better fix would be make it work with Beams, it would end the problem due to Beams lower firing rate, would benefit everyone BUT Escorts so they could be able to fight escort ... if Escorts dont like it, take the Shield Heal.

So by your math instead of it taking 12 seconds after first aplication of a 2-second placate it should take 24 seconds? Is there even a point to a power like this?

BTW shield regen works fine, I have a fleet mate that can gear shields to never deplete no matter the nerf coming up.

I can't "take the shield heal". However you feel about escorts, beam weapons, and sticks, it doesn't change the fact that I have already purchased sensor targeting assault at my expense and time spent earning T4 Romulan rep because I was lead to beleive it would do something in a way that would benefit me.

I already did the math with my escort and knew that STA would stack up as well as it does, it just baffles me beyond all sense or reason that a group of college and university educated programers DID NOT have the math sense that I did to know that this power would work this way, and now they want to back out of the deal.

They knew it would work exactly as it does. It's just players (mostly PvPers) complained bitterly about it. And as such, they decided to nerf it. I still don't get what the big hullaballoo is about. You still get to blind a target every 12 seconds. What's the big deal?

Also as for making a build that keeps your shields up for all eternity? That's easy, I can do it with 2 BOff abilities and a monkey wrench (or a monkey with a wrench). However having a build that can do that, heal OTHERS well, and still put out decent damage, now that sir, takes skill.

If you really need to stay invisible to the big bad NPCs there's always Jam Sensors, AMS, and KHG shield (adapted MACO for fed I think). That should fill in your 12 seconds.

Well, they aren't going to give you a refund, however, you can use a respec token to blank the reputation choices, or so I've heard. You just have to blank all of your skills and it will erase those as well and you can rechose again. If you sign up for that PvP bottcamp thing, you can get a free one, otherwise its 500 zen. Oh, or if you're gold, you might have some free ones lying around.

Uh? Why wouldn't they give a refund? This is why you give refunds, this is the reason that refunds exist.

You get a refund when you take something back to the store for being defective, I don't expect the rules to change even though 'the store' is _forceing me_ to give it back because they feel it's defective when I am happy with my purchase as is.
