So before the patch (nerf/bugfix, call it what you want), the T4 Omega Shield Passive was giving you the equivalent additional shield regeneration as if you were sporting a Shield Array Mk XII [Reg]x69...

...after the patch (nerf/bugfix, call it what you want), the T4 Omega Shield Passive is still giving you the equivalent additional shield regeneration as if you were working a Shield Array Mk XII [Reg]x10.

edit: On top of that, it might have been doing it per second instead of per six...
So, if you multiply by 6 to get the actual Regen the bugged version was giving players...

That means that these carebears are complaing about giving up ther Regx414 shields.

Ridiculous. The current, post-fix level is more than enough of a bonus.

Exactly when you look at the numbers is still crazy.

I have even seen people I thought where good pvp players complaining about this passive now being useless...

I mean come on... its like throwing [reg]x10 on what ever shield you want... when you think of it that way this passive is still far to good. lol

I actually like this change. It's a very good amount. My D'kora has about 200 regen with Mk XII MACO shields (while sitting at about 50 shield power btw), along with roughly 300 from the now-fixed regen bonus. So that's 500 shields every 6 seconds.

I have about 14,000 shields per facing, and no other bonuses to regen currently.

If I toss on engineering bonuses, like EPS Power Transfer, a good E-power to shields, Rotate Shield Frequency, I can gain massive amounts of shields primarily through regen and have some very tough shields to crack at all.

So yeah, the regen is pretty much right where it should be.

soph/ saying its game breaking is hyperbola guys! /soph

thats great, that perspective there. and people are saying its not worth it now? i thought an extra ~200+ regen on top of what your regen rate already was would be great! the equivalent of an additional 10 reg mods certainly seems worth keeping the passive.

at this point i see it as a soft resist to the extra tac console and the extra crit the rep system already gave people

It's not worth it because it's not as horribly ridiculous as the unintended broken version that people got a taste of at the start. I swear, it boggles the mind, lol.

people do understand. people also notice a power creep as well. i get an extra 266.5 regen. again in my opion dont matter what rp heroes think, my opion is just as valid, all ships should get an extra 300 regen. while people on oddys are getting more from the passive then i am just because of thier shild mod. the sheild regen should just be flat with no mods from the ship.

btw im taking 300 as a number. my oddy gets more then that with the passive. 266.5 is a very nice number but again the power creep. if anything i say flat no matter the ship 280.0

It was my understanding that the regen from the passive is a flat rate, regardless of ship type, skill allocation, or other abilities. Am I mistaken? >_>

The ship's shield modifier affects the amount. Skills, etc, etc - don't - but the shield modifier does.

On a Wells - 380.6
On a Fleet Saber Retrofit - 202.1

Vs. the Kinetic Proc of 751.4 which is always 751.4 - regardless of ship, skills, buffs, debuffs, resists, etc, etc, etc - it's always 751.4...

...the shield regen varies by ship's shield modifier.

If people want the old regen values back, can the kinetic proc get a bump to happen 75% of the time against anyone who's using the regen passive?

Then, it's only 2.5% against other kinetic users, and 75% against the regen passive users.

And the regen passive users can shoot each other without killing one another for an eternity.

Sounds fair to me.

Then the PvE players can have their overpowered shield regen, and the rest of us can still kill them.
