OK I thought i'd give Kerrat another run after quite a bit of a break. So i flew over there and got cracking.

I was warned abou the PVP fights between KDF and FED. Being no good at PvP at all I let them fight on and proceeded to take on the Borg and Scan the nodes and blow up the other node things.

I was doing well I got 2 1st place purples and 1 2nd place Blue.

Then the raging started at me. 'Stop attacking the borg!' 'Stop completing the misson!' from Pvp players who just want to kill eachother. The raging was quite unpleasant so i TW back to ESD vowing not to return to Keratt again. This got me thinking.

The Zone is in conflict between the PvP players and those who want to run the misson for the gear. Am I missing the point here?

The misson would make a great standalone STF. If you want PvP go off and use a PvP zone, there should be a frrely avalible PvP zone like Keratt where people can blast themselves to bits where the only misson is to kill each other. I want to run the misson not get owned by over powered PvP players.

Its time to seperate the two out. They are incompatible.

Complaint.

pay no attention to them,

but dont change ker'ret :p

kerret is a wonderful place, it offers a semi-free for all pvp wise, and when a bunch of cubes join the fray it makes things all the more interesting,

Simply ignore the silly moaners who cry about the instance resetting, though tbh it BENEFITS them, because it brings every single ship to a fixed point to do battle, its a win for them, they dont have to hunt down stragglers, but stupid people can cry.

Kerret is a wonderfully unique place, pvpve.. its so much more interesting than 5man pvp teams where one side is a ppremade and it becomes as 1 sided as.. a 1sided fight >.<

but yeah, my overall response, ignore the silly pvpers, its your right and responsibilty to do the mission , dont see why they complain for another reason, they get dilithium reward for just being there too >.>''...

They are compatible...

If you don't like fighting other players... go do SB24... or The Gorn Fleet action... and stay out. You can get purple gear there if you like.

Its a PvP warzone... yes you can complete the mission if you like and so can the other side. Trash talking is what happens there... it is a PVP zone, expect it and if you don't like it don't go.

Klinks have 3 missions that involve PvP that reward Dilihtium... two for blowing people up and one for being blown up. If you don't want to be apart of those missions for the klingon players don't take your feds there.

Kerrat is one of the few PvP things in this game that in fact works as intended.

It's been a wee while since I've seen anybody complain about somebody completing the mission. Most folks tend to be more than perfectly happy to do the outnumber gank on the restart (whether Fed or KDF).

As mentioned, I'd ignore them (I'd actually try to complete it faster just to irritate them more - but that's just me)... if they want to duel each other or have little fights, there are plenty of ways for them to do that.

Much like those complaining about PvP in Ker'rat need to understand that it's also a PvP zone, those that would complain about somebody completing the mission in there need to understand it's also a PvE zone. It goes both ways.

If they do not want it to complete as fast - they can actually do something about it... rather than cry and whine about it. It actually kind of makes them look... er, well yeah - anyway - lol.

But that's the nifty potential of Ker'rat - you should be doing both.

Each side should be trying to complete the mission while stopping the other side from completing the mission while dealing with the Borg.

Do you split forces? Do you stay together and race around? Do you just head over to wipe out the other side and keep them tied up while a guy or two complete it? Do you just slaughter them over and over until they give up and leave...then complete it?

So many things...

...all ignored.

Were it a queue job, it might be different - there's just too much broken with it as an open area for it to work as they probably intended it to work...

This makes me laugh, because its so true :p
People who want good loot focus on the mission, while pretty much everyone else is there to PVP in a none-structured, non-queue-gated fun for all

Pay no attention and finish the mission. There will be another Instance.

Do not change Ker'ret. PvP is vital to its existance.
When enough KDF work together we attack the feds others try to complete the mission.

I agree with the others. Ignore the whiners, do what you wanna do.

I mean Ker'rat is an excellent source of a lot of things, PvPing, Dil, and EC.

You can ignore, or mostly ignore the PvP part if you want, but the dil you can get, and the possibility of Mk XII items is too good to pass up.

Really, just try and not let it get to you. Just be understanding that with it being an open PvP, you have to expect anything and everything. There are no rules, no guard tower...only a magnetic shield prevents beaming. :p

But really though, no rules or anything in there, so regardless of what people may despise, like SNB DOFFs, Tric mines, Energy Drain builds, Danube Spam, etc, it can all possibly be there.

...it's almost always C&H, Arena, or both - never Ker'rat.

Can't remember the last time I went to Ker'rat for anything other than to break the monotony of the S7 grinds...meh.
