# 1 patcher error!

i am not sure where to put this,so i will just put it here,whenever i launch STO(non-steam version) the cryptic launcher autoupdater waits for about 1 minute and then right when it hits tried connecting 2 times,i get this patcher error:

Patcher error

the patchclient got a message while it was in a state with no response function

when i press OK it autocloses the autoupdater,what do i do??

Alot of people get this problem whenever STO has a patch. It seems the launcher file doesn't get updated along with the rest of them or whatever and you need to manually update it yourself.

Go to this thread, http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/sh...d.php?t=378891 and look towards the last pages for someone who is hosting the latest copy of the launcher file (atm this is eskiss766 at page 9), download that and replace your existing Star Trek Online.exe with it.

i am sick of this,i mist aswell quit STO im sick of all these problems with updates.

I am also having this error. There are "lots" of threads about it and so on... so where is the official response. Many people can not play the game.
