I just bought an Ultimate Game Card from EB Games, and I went to My Account, I selected Ultimate Game Card and the amount, but it first asks for a promo code...where exactly is that on the card?

i follow the instructions on the card... but the site doesn't have a "redeem" button. Plus when it asks me to sign up with Ultimate Pay it says it sent me an e-mail to confirm my registration - but the only link in the e-mail is to redeem 100 free points....
wtf Cryptic?! can't we just redeem it in My Account and get it over with?!

I sent a cancellation request to Ultimate pay, because I accidentally made a bank transfer for 2300 zen while trying to find another option that would allow me to add only 68 cents. But instead the bank transfer was going to take 20!!

well UltimatePay told me that I'll have to get another stupid card if I want to have the 20 dollar bonus....
Cryptic really screwed the pooch with this stupid promotion. Conveniently leaving out the details that gamers in canada have to pay more money than the card is worth in order to get the amount they want. Kind of like buying a telephone card where you don't actually have the talk time that the WHOLE card is worth.

So in conclusion, this Ultimate Game Card promotion is idiotic. Even for those people that live in the US. Only -- get this - Americans who buy the 20 dollar card, for example, will only be able to redeem 19.50 or so. So really they are getting screwed as well - they don't have enough to redeem 20 dollars worth to get the 20 dollar bonus. I knew I should have stuck with PWE cards yesterday. At least with those you use the whole amount.
You guys should do the same. Even if you don't get a bonus with them. Or else stick with things like paypal.

P.S. Eeven though my paypal account is setup to pay for things using an eCheque, it seems I've made enough transaction to confirm my account. So now my [eCheque] payments are instantaneous.

I don't know why you are having problems. I live in the States and just redeemed 3 20.00 cards for the full 20.00 amount and I got the bonus zen fro mthe promotion. There was no partial charge for me, nor was I only able to redeem under 20.00 as you said.

If that's the case, good for you.
Then it seems only people in canada are having that problem then. It asks for 20.68. I suppose there's a charge for others who aren't in USA. Which is stupid, really, because you already pay taxes on the card - in which case 13% tax on 20 is 22.60 plus the 68 more that it asks when you try and use it comes to 23.28.

P.S. I used the card but could only use about 15 dollars worth. i got the bonus for 10 but when i use 5 dollars more i didn't get any bonus on that 5 dollars. So i've been doubly screwed over.
I just bought PWE cards. After being pissed off with that idiotic UGC promotion i don't care about the bonus anymore.

PWE also wrote back to me saying "its the real-world fluctuation of the market" yeah that doesn't help me!!
And in conclusion they said i'll have to buy another UGC card... pfft yeah like i'm going to spend another 20.
I'll stick with PWE cards, thank you very much.
