I'm finding threads that have been necro'd not 30 days, more like 30 weeks.
How do people find these and post on them like it was made a few minutes ago?

Forum search, most likely. Let a mod know via PM or ticket and they'll put them back to bed where they belong.

Lagging, D/Cing, or rubberbanding? Here's some help.

I don't get it either. If it isn't people necroing 2 year old threads, it's people posting the same topic 6 times in the same 20 minute span. Some folks search to much and some don't know there is a search at all.

Bored people?

So inhumane superweapons, mass murder, and canon nonsense is okay, but speedos are too much for some people.

Yes that guy is the all time leader in the post count. They don't have numbers that go high enough to count his posts so they quit counting.

Most people that necro old threads don't look at the date of the last post; i.e:
  • if its less than 30days the it's ok to reply
  • if its greater than 30days then start a new thread with the same or related topic and link in the original thread as reference
This way its more organised, up to date less of a mess of posts that people need to sift through to get the info they need.

Spamming topics/posts in multiple forum sub-sections is also a violation of forum policy and is a banable offense, those that do this are either/or impatient, bots or trolls, in such events for the impatient ones their threads need to be merged and the latter 2 just removed once a mod is notified.
