Until I saw this thread I thought the Peregrine Fighters were the Marquis ships...

Shows how much I know. If anything I could see them being more offensive, less sciencey Delta Flier equivalents.

Marquis Raiders and Peregine Fighters use the SAME design. The raiders are varied though, some same as the Peregine Fighters, some as big as runabouts. And then there's Chakotay's ship.

About raiders taking on Galor and winning. That was ONE instance and it was a SWARM, not a single, not a small group, but MANY raiders ganging up on one Galor.

Not exactly. As far as I'm aware, there are only three instances where you actually see a Maquis ship on-screen. One is the DS9 episode where we see Sisko take three danubes against two Peregrines, the second is Chakotay's ship from the first eps of Voyager, and the third is Sisko catching up to, and capturing, Edington (you see two ships identical to Chakotay's raider, one of which gets slagged by the Defiant). The rest of the time they're described sensor contacts that vary in detail from Peregrines to more ambiguous "raiders".

I do not believe there was ever a non-fighter version of the Peregrine.

Peregrines were used by the Maquis, but they also had a larger ship called "Maquis Raider" as well. They were two different designs.


If the latter did hit the game as a shuttle, here's what I'd give it:

Weapons: 1 fore, 1 aft
Can equip dual cannons
Boffs: 1 Ensign Universal, 1 Ensign Tactical
20 crew

Chakotay's raider had about 40 people on it, but that's a bit OP for the game.

Except the Maquis Fighter and the Peregrine Fighter are not the same design. That's explicitly stated in the "Maquis Fighter" article.

In the canon, they had 3 forward weapons.

The beam banks on the wingtips
The cannons in the wing roots
A forward torpedo tube

Aft, they had the photo launcher (2 tubes) and a rear-mounted phaser bank.

mabey it is time for shutttles to be upgraded to have an aft weapon lots?

I would say it is bigger than a shuttle.

It is bigger then a shuttle. It's a bit less then twice the size of the Sovereign yacht. But at the same time, it's less then 1/4 the size of the smallest starship in the game.

So it'd easily fit into the game as a shuttle-class ship.

I want more small ships tho, honestly. I want the Intrepid Aeroshuttle too.
