I'm just curious if anybody has any explanation for why tractor beam officers give some amount of shield drain "per pulse", and why the number of pulses doesn't go up with the tractor beam duration.
Wouldn't it be more intuitive to just make the tractor drain some shield points per second for as long as the tractor beam lasts?
