how all alexindcobra posts function: alexindcobra was beat up heavily in PVP...he thinks it was due to some ability being OP or the other guy cheating...comes to forum, whines about it and states what is wrong with the game in his opinion...ALL other people in the post disagree with his statement, try to explain what he should have done better...he ignores it, and over time everybody loses interest in the post.
this one is no exception
You can't even consider him a troll, since he genuinly thinks he is right
Ah, understood, I will save my breath then. If he has no desire to learn how to get around subnuke attacks, then there is really nothing more for me to say here.
Science team is the SNB counter it just doesnt reset the buff abilities themselves, only thier timers.
Hell, had you been here during the old days you would have hated how poorly ST used to counter SNB. The modern incarnation is so much better now.
Sci team is supposed to prevent the application of SNB for its duration and it currently is not doing so. It's been bug reported.
Still, the OP is just on another of his poorly conceived rants.
_______________ 4/4 Z-Store KDF Specific Bugs fixed! Thank you from the bottom of my wallet! I'm going to go buy some Zen points for a rainy day. Here's another batch about visuals.

Um, I still hear buzzing in my ear. Let me get my flyswatter.
Subnuke has a simple counter. Science team. It removes the Sub-nuke. Then you have your team throw a quick tac team so you can survive long enough for you to get your own stuff back in order.
The only place sub-nuke is actually dangerous is PvP. And in PvP you have a team. You get sub-nuked, you have THEM save your butt. Of course in your case your team probably either wasn't paying attention, didn't care, or wanted you to die. I don't blame them in any of those scenarios.
Of course I don't even know why I'm bothering to post, since you will no doubt come up with some excuse as to why I am wrong, and why you, the ever suffering player who constantly gets hit by OP powers, is right. Whereas the rest of us are getting smacked by this, we take it like a man, we get our ST going, then we get our buffs going, we ask our team for help, and we survive. Obviously we are doing it wrong, since we survive and you don't...
This thread deserves the Picard Maneuver. And here it is.
*facepalm*
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once.
Hmmm, yeah exactly what we need. Another long cooldown sci power that requires situational awareness completely neutralized by an ensign rank power
I know it's hard to believe and almost impossible to imagine, but a sci who timed his SNB with his or another escorts alpha, was simply better than you. And cause this thread already contains all kinds of kindness and I saw your ship a couple times in PvP, I can say for sure, you don't need a SNB to go down.

That made me actually sad. There's so much more than SNB, but you have to fly sci ships to see it.

Didn't you get the memo? Kirk doesn't need teams, he's his own army. Well, he is as long as the game mechanics aren't mean and start punishing him.

go see a doctor for that condition. there shouldn't be any noise in your brain or ear when you read stuff.

yes there is allways sensor scan, which is a very nice debuff...but for the argumentation here i naturally left out other benefits a sci may bring to the team, since sub nuke is the most important one in my opinion. of course each and every sci power is usefull depending on the situation, but the sub nuke just sticks out here as a purely PVP oriented power. It's useless in 90% of PVE content...the only time it really is usefull is in KASE for donatras torp strike and shield buffs and similar bosses...but those are rare (only the mirror dreadnought comes to mind, stadi or whatever name it has)
Regarding the OP's claim that 'every skill has a counter', this is not entirely true. Most offensive abilities have some method of countering, but there are few ways of clearing defensive abilities. Subnuke is one of the few. Target has Tactical Team, EPtS2/3, and TSS2/3 up? Subnuke it. If they're a decent tank, they'll have a science team somewhere in there.
Subnuke is literally one of the very few ways to break a good tanker, someone who's got their defensive buffs chained together flawlessly and has great timing on their cycles. I don't like it when it's used on me in my Hegh'ta BoP, as that strikes me as overkill, but I sure do appreciate it when someone subnukes a target and I time a decloak alphastrike with it.
